Talk to your insurance company for the tractor and/or home. They may cover that bill…after the deductible of course.

One summer we had groundhogs get into both our cars. Auto insurance covered the damage. It was a small win…unfortunately, neither car ever ran the same again.

Thanks for all the replies! I found the wire connectors @ Findpigtails.com they have about every connector known to a man, I sent them pics of the connectors and they replied quickly! 80.00 each not cheap but better than the whole harness!!

I had this happen to my wifes Ford Exploder

they chewed off the injector wire at the plug in.... Napa had a replacement.

anyway after that I installed 1 of these ultrasonic mouse repellers....
never had it happen again... and I saw no signs of droppings after install.

they were cheap so I figured it was worth a shot.

I believe they sense motion and shut down when the vehicle is in motion.

It stays powered on all the time. I believe it's timed.. goes on and off. either strobes and/or ultrasonic noise.... might be motion sensing too... not sure.

so it IS a small parasitic draw.
They suggest starting the car/tractor every couple days to keep the battery charged....

and if need be, there is a rocker switch on the side to shut it off completely.

I would assume that keeping a maintenance charger connected would eliminate the need to start the car/ tractor periodically.
I keep maintenance chargers on everything I own, with a battery, except daily drivers.

I also use a 30 watt solar panel where I don't have electricity.

it runs down to a Battery tender solar controller (small box) and then the leads go to the battery.....

same as the regular electric chargers.... works great.

I keep a few motorcycles back there for the winter .... I will go back there every couple days and plug into another bike...... just to share the love...

but It goes into float mode when it gets to 12v

Ironically I have NO mice in the back shed.

when I built it I wend overkill caulking every wall/floor and door seam.

I put a couple mouse traps in there.... just to be sure...... Never any action.

I am away for up to 6 months at a time.
I simply have a .75A maintenance charger hooked to every 12V battery (14).
No need to monitor, or switch chargers.
I use Decon packets (or similar) in/around/on tractors/cars, etc., for mice.

Have a 48V maintenance charger hooked to my golf cart batteries also.

Friend has his Kubota M62 stored in a "sea can" (hi -cube container).
Has a 12V maintenance charger hooked to a small solar panel.
