Even though he's 70 pounds now, he gets in the "front row." Little tough with him right in the middle...

Could use some help guys. Our rescue dog just plain won't eat dry dog food even if we mix it with wet can food. We've tried everything even pouring gravy over it and all different kinds of broth but no matter what we try he just won't eat it unless it comes in a can. Anyone make their own dog food or find a healthy alternative that works? Thanks in advance.

We had one like that. It was hard, but we just held fast. No toppings, no treats. Food was down for 20 minutes at a time. If he didn't eat, he didn't eat. My wife was not happy about it, but eventually they both understood that I wasn't going to give in.
Now, he eats (or doesnt) dry food. There is no table begging. No begging at all for people food, really.
Dogs are smart. Once they learn you can be trained, it's over.

Fortunately, my better half is easier to train. All that means is that I hold out a little longer before I crumble to the "puppy eyes"

Those are the worst!!!! Our 8yo German shepherd has the puppy eyes down pat. Coupled with the ears positioned just so...... and she can talk you out of almost anything

Mom took Geddy to run a 6k race this morning. (Usually 5k, but a route the sponsor used to run their own dog).

They took 2nd Place in mom’s age group!

Geddy appreciated his mom.

We lost the momma duck, she kept getting out of the pen, we finally found her laying eggs by one of the trees so we just let her be…well she got eaten one night we did end up hatching her eggs though

It's always a sad story when it involves animals you're close to. On the bright side you have time to take swimming lessons for their first time training.

We raised quite a few ducklings years ago. They are pretty easy. You’ve got a couple great helpers to keep them in good shape.

Yep full blown meltdown…the neighbors on other side of the woods have started running corn / beans and when that happens my place becomes a funnel / travel corridor for deer. Funny thing is the GSDs must either hear or smell them way way before they ever come into sight…I am not sure but it’s amazing they know before one of their blades of grass has been breathed on.
