I love a good root grapple & you know how to use it. You might push the male & female hydraulic connector covers together to help keep both clean.
Besides the rear mower I'd say the grapple is my second most frequently used implement and my favorite. The connector caps fit the male/female couplers fine but don't stay together. I give them a shot of brake cleaner and wipe them out with a shop towel before storage.

, I know them well. We are doing pretty much doing the same thing (I’m also using chemicals). Mine may have started in a fence row, but have spread all over.
Sure….the dealer suggested and set them up that way with common couplers for BX I had originally and I agreed as it made sense to connect both in same way. I think really just to keep the process the same…I asked for it that as I think it is easier to hook up doing both the same way….personally I like the push sleeve over the male couple…seems like it sets a little easier than the opposite layout of rear remote types…at least for me . I’ve continued it on my B and MX. (I use colored tape to visually see which is which on the hoses for both the machine and the implement (grapple). I don’t believe it makes a difference just personal preference. I have all common type connectors on the rear as well…not some male and some female. If there is a some technical reason I am sure I don’t know.

Both mine are female on the tractor side...makes no difference in functionality. A few colored zip ties to mark hoses and you never hook it up backwards.

. I was permitted to paint some the single color areas, mainly the blue super and also the brown roof….everything else spousal unit did the great painting work and consideration. It will be interesting if we need to add a second box on the bottom. Any of my suggestions were not considered helpful or even appropriate for the exterior. . I did get it assembled…and boy did it use a lot more screws than I expected. I am a little worried about wind…I put a ratchet strap over just before it started raining…but I think maybe if we have some clear weather today I am going to add some ground anchors and a more secure strap over the top…until the bees get it waxed together I am not confident some heavy winds would not topple it.

I had the same worry, and also worried about animals like raccoons. I had considered short pieces of angle on the corners screwed To the brood box and going up the super a couple of inches. But so far no issues and we routinely see 40+ mph wind. I did put some ATF in the ant guard cups which stopped ants from crawling up the legs. Can’t wait to get some honey from these guys. It’s been a great spring so far for the flowers.

Ah OK, I'm in Northern Bee County, West of Pettus, we also have windmills. Your rolling terrain and brush/trees in the picture looks very similar to what's around here as well.

yes yes the kind folk in the big city have decided to build me some lovely windmills to look at. They are especially nice at night seeing 500 red lights blinking at me. It’s almost like fireflies. At least 3 of the windmills work, too.
