Good morning RCW…I am guessing it’s one of the following….

My in-laws live in Upstate NY…there are only a couple reasons I have found to be there…1. Love of High taxes. 2. Love of BS laws. 3. Love of traffic and angry people in high density living areas 4. Love of family that takes priority. 5. Love of the best state in a Natural sense…it’s the best state (western NY, finger lakes, Great Lakes, several mountain ranges (adirondacks simply the best), and they have a coast….it’s awesome….except for numbers 1 thru 3. IMO there is nothing like the adirondacks…despite 1 - 3 I’d still consider buying buy property there in retirement if I could afford it. ☕
Yeah, we’re very rural in our area. I’m not far from Chanceywd. Taxes and some other stuff still apply though….🥺

Moved my box and back blades away from their winter storage location just outside back door. Easy to get to if we get a lot of snow.

My first time using @Kennyd4110’s extended top hook on my box blade. Blade was not QH compatible, but got it so. Kenny’s hook gives 5/8” additional room. Works perfectly to get it away from the pin/hitch.👍👍

Son and his fiancé moved into my father’s old house, about a hundred yards from us a couple months ago. We renovated the interior of the house and did some maintenance type stuff with landscaping but being it was winter when they moved in, all agreed we would leave the landscaping through spring so they could see what it all really looks like when it’s in bloom and/or green. This is a good example:

When they moved in, this was a plain, leafless tree in the yard of the still unoccupied house on the other side of the ridge from them but in their sight as much as any part of their front yard. But, in the spring, it is covered with purple blossoms. So all agree it stays.

Most of the azaleas, boxwoods, and dogwoods are also staying. But these on the carport end of the unoccupied house; they’re 25 to 35 years old and they’re just not doing well. Never have. Popped them out with the grapple, dumped the root balls in the hole where we dump such things.

Chipped the tops and also picked up a grapple load out of the perennial brush pile to add more chips to that area plus a couple of trees where we added border for mulch.

Also, we have this odd area where a developer owns the west side, another developer owns the east side, and we own a 60’ wide strip though the middle separating their two properties. (Which of course they’re very happy about.)

Right now, it’s grassy. When the soil temp rises later in the year, kudzu will take over the entire area. Even before the grass, there are several clumps of daffodils that bloom, probably a couple hundred bulbs. If you look really closely on the right side of the barely visible trail in the first pic you might see one of the clumps. They just finished blooming. How they got there, no clue. Most of them happen to be on our 60’ x 400’ strip so we dug up probably 150 or so and moved them; some to our place and some to the other houses. Yeah, I know we probably should have moved them over winter when they were dormant but they have at least some chance of survival if they’re moved. Long story that’s still in progress, but not likely they’ll have any chance if they’re not moved.

Despite a bit of intermittent rain, it was still a nice afternoon of pretty low stress working with wife, son, and son’s fiancé’.

I think the same. Pretty sure it’s some sort of ornamental cherry my brother planted when he lived 25 to 35 years ago. He can’t recall exactly what it is either but also agrees cherry.

I mounted 4 new ag tires to my b2100. currently waiting on power steering parts to come in, so i can rebuild the power steering. i swapped out the turf tires ( they still hold air, but dry rotted ) with some tread left on them, but i needed more traction for an up coming job i need to get done as soon as the ground dries up some ?.

I like all these cat photos. I haven't had cats for years but have always loved them. I'm worried about them getting run over, or killed by coyotes or something. The only cat I have these days is yellow and it prefers diesel to milk. :unsure:

Did one other thing today that was a little glimmer of smart after a lot of stupid. 3 OEM rear remotes on my L. Kubota remote valves are kind of infamous for internal leaks. The float detent valve I use on the toplink doesn’t leak but the center return I use on the side link does leak a bit. For reasons I can not explain, I have never tried the other center return valve on the side link. So I invested about 30 seconds swapping the lines to the other center return valve and it DOESN’T LEAK. So yeah, I’m a dummy. But I’m a dummy who doesn’t have a leaky valve on my top/tilt (now).

they are Carlise, farm specialist. on brand new kubota rims. when you switch from turf tires to ag tires ?, you must also install the tires on different rims, turf tire rims are not the same rim styles for ag tires.

From the photo, I would say an ornamental crab apple. I have one just like it.

My B2601 hit 132hrs so I changed the fuel filter, and installed my 3rd function kit(it came in a 5 gal pail and had no instructions from Kubota).

Ditto. I measured 9" on the deck that was bone dry not 24hrs earlier. It was 40° by the time I got around to blowing it. I'm lucky I didn't have to clean out any clogs.

After the first cut of the season I took the MMM off and give it a good cleaning and greased it. Amazing how much grass get up under the pulleys.

Yeah, i have been doing ton's or research on what kinda tires i needed ?, i really wanted to try the r14 ?, but i could not find any for the size of my rims that i had to purchase ?. so i went with the r1's for the work area i plan on using my tractor in. i purcahsed this tractor used a year or so ago, it needed a hydro tranny rebuild ( took care of that ), battery, belt, leaks fixed with new oil seals, and now i am waiting on power steering ( it does work..just leaked hydro oil ) parts to fix that leak, and i should be good to go for a bit.
Right after i purchased my tractor, i turned right around and bought a titan 4 ft gear driven tiller, 3 ft land pride bush hog, and a 4 ft titan box blade. i have been very pleased with this b2100 over all. its not new like some of the members here have ?..but i do not have a note on it ?..and i love wrenching..soo..i'm golden !.
