Snowed today ,not enough to plow, so tractor sat. But I did start buying parts for a rear remote.

Greased the loader and blower. Topped off the hydraulic fluid and put everything away then noticed my chute deflector hoses were leaking. Looks like a project for tomorrow.

I installed a hydraulic top link for my Landpride box blade/scraper View attachment 75341

I would have liked to order one from the recommended hydraulics guy, but with the lead time - I ordered this one on Sunday, and received it on Thursday - complete kit with all the fittings and adapters. I just had to pick out the right length.
Do you have a link to where you got it? I am thinking about doing this.

Was doing the DSOT (Daily System Operability Test from my old military days) checking oil levels, pressures, etc, and noticed the fuel filter on my LX2610 was loose. Not leaking loose, but loose from the mounting bracket. Oh, wait.... the mounting bracket is BROKEN! No obvious impact damage that would cause the breakage. Wonderful - the IPB doesn't list the part number for the bracket, I have to buy an entire filter assembly! This will be the chore for tomorrow. Plus we're supposed to get some snow. At least the tractor is inside!

Update: I think the 2 cab heater hoses that were routed behind the filter may have been enough to break the bracket when the nut holding the bracket to the mounting stud was tightened. Re-routed the hoses to run ABOVE the filter bracket, and the bracket mounted perfectly.

Did some grading work yesterday. Didn’t take before pictures, but there was a berm about 5 feet off the house on each side after this addition was put in. So the job consisted of grading that back in off the house, and moving/grading a couple yards of topsoil that sat on the side

Used the little one to restock the front porch with more firewood. 23F yesterday, rumors of 47F this afternoon. Today I believe I am taking the little girl for a drive through the woods and going to set some taps/spiles and hang some buckets….and then maybe we are going to open up that drop shipment I got a week ago(greenhouse).

Mounted the bush hog, using the U adaptor on top of the QH. Note to self: replace U adaptor with top hook BEFORE putting bush hog on. 'Twas a royal pain trying to get the 2nd pin in on the top hook.

Now gotta remove blades and "sharpen" them. Yearly thing.

Green bush hog. Wife says my tractor and its implements look like a clown.

Was considering taking advantage of the 50* temp today and finish splitting and stacking, but right now it is 37* with a 24 MPH wind. That is not 24 MPH gusts, that is 24 MPH wind, gusts are up to 45 MPH. Needless to say when it is that windy, 50* does not feel that warm.

Oh I wish I had my new tractor now, at least with the cab I can climb in and warm up every few minutes.

I had no idea you could use one of these spreaders for ag lime. Everyone here says you cant because ag lime will clump up in that type spreader. Whats the secret?
I’d read similar statements and knowing what commercial lime spreaders look like, I also had some initial doubts. The biggest issue I’ve encountered is that the throw distance is rather short; I get about 5-10 ft spread on left side and the nothing past the right wheel track. That’s fairly pathetic compared to prilled/pelletized material, but, for my few acres, it’s no big deal at all to adjust the driving pattern to accommodate.

The spreader has an excellent agitator and I’ve had zero issues with it feeding. The standard speed-n-feed calibration is useless. I’m running the feed gate about 80% open and now have a rough feel for right speed for 2 passes to hit my application rate.

Finally got the chance to get some of the firewood up that I had dropped and split a few weeks ago. Eight loads, plenty of firewood for next year or the year after as I have another two cords in the barn that I cut last year. Finished the day off putting the box blade on and doing a little grading for a family member.

Three hours of driveway clearing today. A rescue the neighbor job - notice the tractor-shaped object just to left of drive ahead. He's got a rear blower but is stuck real good.
Nasty little blizzard the last few days here in SE corner of Manitoba, probably 30+ cm over a few days, and now the WIND from the north. Maybe made a high of -20C today. Windchill? Nasty.

Slime!
It's ugly/messy stuff, but it works!
Agree 100%. My front R3's have a lot of plugs. I had both front tires done with slime three months ago and they are still holding the exact amount of air. I hope the upcoming R14's are tougher.

The R14 appear to be rather flimsy compared to anything other than a turf. I think that the jury is still out for long term performance. And good luck finding Kubota's recommended inflation pressures, unless they finally put them in the owners manual.

Same here, all 4 tires have it in them as all 4 tires had a puncture at some point. I think I add air once every other year.

I'll find out how good they are this summer although from what I saw on the lot they appear to be thicker over the R3's.

Used the old ()2015) Frontier green bush hog on my orange machine today for the first time. Lost my cat 1/cat 2 and cat 2/cat 3 bushings off the left side. Somehow the pin got knocked out. Ordered new bushings and different kind of pin from TSC. Still lots cheaper than those $38 ones you have to put on each implement. (Needed for the WH QH lift arm locations to keep pins from shifting.)
