Thinking of buying a tilt 7x20’ trailer for my kubota ... see a variety of choices out there and wondering if this is best value at 5400$? Plan to carry the FEL bucket With grapple and the backhoe... So by my calc I’ll need all of the 20’
My 18' PJ car hauler carries my B2650 with loader (basically same as the LX2610) and BH77 backhoe attached with a little room to spare, even. How much does the grapple project from the front of your loader bucket?

Here is my 20yo L4300DT the day I brought it home. The tractor now lives in the shed and rarely gets to ride on the trailer.

My B2650 hangs well off my 18’ with a 60” brush hog on the back. I’d go 20’ if i was doing it over again. I think you’d be surprised how easy you can fill up the 20’. I cant haul mine without getting detachable ramps instead of the fixed ramps the trailer came with.

Not only that, you have a little more wiggle room to position it on the trailer as needed to get the best tongue weight.

My 18' trailer has got a foot or two front-to-back wiggle room for tongue weight adjustment when any of my usual combos are attached to the tractor. Like backhoe/loader in the photo above, or box scraper/front snow blower in the winter. Now I know the sweet spot with each. The largest, the loader/M5-4 5' bush hog combo, just fits, and balances very well. But the bush hog just got a ride home and hasn't been trailered somewhere else. The other combos are regularly trailered. And adding the forks/chipper combo probably soon too.

I made a mount for the grapple on the front of my trailer, I like always having it with me.

This is a 7x22' 14K. I haul my B2650 with various attachments on it. My old 20' at times would get tight.

You are exactly right. My trailer came with fixed ramps and at the time i had a BX. Now removable ramps are easier to get the tractor to sit where it should be. It was a good deal but i probably wouldnt buy a trailer with fixed ramps again either.

For you guys with the tongue weight/trailer length issue. Ever used a distribution hitch? I have one for my camper. My trailer has the hidden ramps, so its easy to park the equipment wherever I need to on the deck.

I’ve got a weight distribution hitch with a built-in scale from Weigh Safe for when I go long distances and heavy.

built in scale would be handy!! when I switched trucks a few years ago, I had to do the measuring; took me about 30 min but now I know on my f150 3rd chain and I'm GTG.

One more question ... tie down points for lx2610/ b2650. Presumably I’ll typically being traveling with the BH and FEL Bucket on ..

Here's what I use...

hooks (one per side) are from harbor freight (no drilling) and clevis came from TSC. The clevis works with the backhoe on as well.

I know its been covered a lot of how to chain down the tractor. And that the loader bucket should have at least a strap over it.
But.......
...I'm not trying to rock the boat. Theres been a few photos of some backhoes traveling in the air. Is it allowed? Obviously the travel/lock pin would be used.

The reason I ask, I've only trailered my L48 once. Unfortunately i only took 1 picture of it. To get decent tongue weight, I needed to back it on (even with the forks strapped under the loader bucket). Then the trailer deck wasn't long enough to set down the hoe. I ended up setting the hoe on the tongue, then strapping securely. It didn't look the greatest but it towed well. FYI, the trailer has a 15'6" deck, with 2'6" beaver tail.

If a can leave the hoe up and locked, I could load it forward. It would make things easier.

I leave mine up and turned to the side (I have to, trailer is too short) and I've never been hassled. Ran that way (hoe up and locked) even when I had a landscaping business with placards on the truck. I was never stopped. I think you'll be fine...unless you really WANT another trailer. ;)

I think when stuff is hanging beyond the back of the trailer is what gets their attention.

Thanks for the quick response.
Yes I'm looking for a bigger trailer, if I find one at the right price. Ideally I'd like a 22' deck over, tilt deck. Its just not in the budget anytime soon.
