I was a dedicated mopar man from 1998 until 2020. Had some issues with MOPAR parts & service (5 dealers + MOPAR directly for 2 vehicles). 2 of those dealers closed (1 due to class action lawsuit).Yup! I don’t have truck brand loyalty personally, but I figured some folks may have an opinion about it haha.
The 2018 Chevy 1500 is my first truck. I really like it, except for the blown trans at 88k. I don’t even tow or plow with it. Maybe I’ll get a Ford next time. Or a Toyota. Those all seem pretty nice to me.
I had enough of deal with them so in 2020 I bought a Ford F150. My Parents always drove GM and never had any major issues. Of course dad's trucks were all manuals - over 350k on 72 cheyanne (3 on tree) before body rusted away and near 300k on 86 s10 before it rusted too much. After that, the grandkids kept multiplying so they switched to minivan's.
Vehicles made in 70s and 80s were just built differently.
