What handle is that? I want to put one on my L3901. I can't believe they leave it off. I mean, I'm pretty happy with what I paid for my tractor, but come on, I would have been willing to pay a little extra to have that on there, had I known.
The part number is T1060-29470-620. You'll also need two 10-1.25mm flange nuts part number 02771-70100-620. I think it's ridiculous that they don't include that either.

That looks really nice!
Those are some aggressive tire chains. Perfect for ice like we received on the New Years weekend.
Those chains work extremely well. My tractor is only 2WD and I have yet to even need to use my diff lock snowblowing my driveway.

Yeah, I think I'll just find the hardware at home depot or something. There's a fastenal about 4 miles from my house, I'm sure I'll be able to get something and not have to pay Kubota for simple hardware.
Thanks for that number. I need to get one on order.

Yeah Messick's forgot to include my hardware, they charged me $4 for two flange nuts. Home Depot had them for 90 cents for a pack of two.

I installed my new light bar on my (now) shortened ROPS. It is held on by magnets - super strong mothers. The side view shows one mount. Of course the 180 watt advertised rating measures out at exactly 70 watts. That said, the sucker lights the night!

Still punching holes. We have about 6" of frost now and so far, the auger is working well in it. I have modified another bit to aid punching through.

An auger is on the short list, all I've seen are 3-point. But that rig looks so sweet! An in-house design/build?
😍

Our B2650s have enough power and hydraulics GPM to run an auger?
Yes, although low in GPM, there is plenty of pressure. I do not have the LP unit I design/built using an AugerTorque auger unit. I also have a cement drum I spin with it.

I am in NH, we are the "Granite State", digging here is hard. I was told by many on here that it would not work and I am glad I pressed ahead with the project. I have made/modified a couple bits to aid in the digging up here and they make a huge difference.

I have pictures of the project if you want some additional information.

Sure! There's a young neighbor here who is a millwright and well-equipped to tackle dyi stuff like this. I'm always interested in alternates to buying from the attachments dealers.

What is that handle on your ROPS pin? I'm looking for something like that to make it faster to screw in my ROPS pins.

Got some snow cleared at a neighbors today. Not a deep blanket, but a little too much for her car to handle easily. A mild, just below freezing cloudy windless day. Perfect for a snow blower! Driveway about 800 yards long. I have to convince her to let me drag my bush hog over her driveway shoulders next fall. That horsetail and swamp grass builds up on the augers and rotor blades and I had to stop and kill the engine to safely clean it off a few times. Blowers make lousy grass and brush clippers!

Today's blower run.

lol, I was with you - a pia every time I took the tractor out of the garage. I got 2 hitch pins from Amazon:
Then I sent this 'professional drawing' to my son:
rops pin new.JPG

He machined them for me:
rops pins finished.jpg

No more screwing when I put the ROPS up/down yet the full thickness of the pins are still functional. The turned down part only goes thru the welded on bolt. Note: I had to go with a hairpin as the pinhole is too close to the end.

In the end I cut down the ROPS - solves the "I forgot" problem.

Yesterday, I fixed a slow leak on a front tire and put on the tire chains. If this winter is like last year, the tractor will stay inside all winter. I don’t think my shovel even touched snow last winter. 🤞

Another day cleaning at the farm. The project today was getting the old John Deere 12A unburied and pulled out to go to the scrap yard. We had several trees in the way and a couple that had grown into the machine.

20210109_091108.jpg

So I started out with my handy Stihl chainsaw thinking I had grabbed the MS271, but instead I had grabbed the MS170. I started cutting, even though it is a little saw, it does a good job. I started hauling off some of the logs and debris.

I would love to tell you my Kubota L3560 just ripped out those roots, stumps, and made short work of it all. That would be partially true, but I have to be honest, I had just a little help from the neighbor who was bored and wanted to know if I cared if he came over and played. Of course being a good neighbor, I couldn't refuse.

His little CAT tractor made short work of the stumps, he pushed some of the trees over and got my access cleared to the old pull behind combine.

I was able to get it pulled out with the grapple.

20210109_113343.jpg

I got it pulled out and moved so we can place it on the trailer and hauled off. Spent a little time cleaning up afterwards.

I forgot to take a pictures of when I was done for the day, but I was able to get most of the roots and brush pulled out and moved to the washout. Need to do some box blade work when it isn't as muddy.

Thanks to our great neighbor, he helped make a big project much, much easier.

I would try to sell that for parts before I scraped it. Might get more for it since the scrap prices are so low.

Before we discussed moving it, we looked all over it and sadly because it has been out in the weather so long, everything was rusted and destroyed by the weather. We asked a few to see if there was anything that might be helpful to others versing just scraping and sadly it was to far gone. We had a person interested in the wheels, but once we dug down and looked at them, since they had been buried, the wheels had rusted through.

My nephew had been interested in trying to restore it, but once he looked it over, he realized it was beyond saving. So far the nephew has restored grandpa's 1976 truck and got it running and he has it licensed and saving his money to get it painted. In addition, he got the old Massey 35 running again and even had it out driving it around the farm. It needs new tires and more work, but the nephew likes restoring and has the skills to do it.

Nice, thank you for the excellent idea. I can't believe Kubota didn't come up with an easier way of doing it.
