Another day cleaning at the farm. The project today was getting the old John Deere 12A unburied and pulled out to go to the scrap yard. We had several trees in the way and a couple that had grown into the machine.

So I started out with my handy Stihl chainsaw thinking I had grabbed the MS271, but instead I had grabbed the MS170. I started cutting, even though it is a little saw, it does a good job. I started hauling off some of the logs and debris.

I would love to tell you my Kubota L3560 just ripped out those roots, stumps, and made short work of it all. That would be partially true, but I have to be honest, I had just a little help from the neighbor who was bored and wanted to know if I cared if he came over and played. Of course being a good neighbor, I couldn't refuse.

His little CAT tractor made short work of the stumps, he pushed some of the trees over and got my access cleared to the old pull behind combine.
I was able to get it pulled out with the grapple.

I got it pulled out and moved so we can place it on the trailer and hauled off. Spent a little time cleaning up afterwards.

I forgot to take a pictures of when I was done for the day, but I was able to get most of the roots and brush pulled out and moved to the washout. Need to do some box blade work when it isn't as muddy.
Thanks to our great neighbor, he helped make a big project much, much easier.
