You have to wear masks up there to go into the dealership? I see people all day long pull up on our service drive in the car alone with masks and gloves on, then take them off and walk inside with nothing, walk past the tape of lines on the floor to get right up in the service writers face to talk to them.I got to go to the auto dealership in the morning. It stinks wearing a mask. But I will. Our CDC state director is adamite the mask saves lives. How the first responders/ nurses doctors ect wear one for 8 hours or more is incredible. A family member works in a bank and she wears a mask and gloves all day.
I know I just could not.

Experiment to find a comfortable style. Yes it feels good to take them off, but they are bearable especially when you think of the alternatives. More obvious if you are saving your liver from fumes or your skin from a nasty solvent. My vet seemed to be managing fine in his, talking a blue streak and grinding down horse teeth all at the same time. I like some of mine better than others. Not sure about the ear loops, but there are work arounds for those too.I got to go to the auto dealership in the morning. It stinks wearing a mask. But I will. My mom knitted up some "ear savers" for my wife to take into work and pass around to the employees that were having issues. It's a 2" to 3" thick band with a extra large button on each end. Loop the elastic bands around the buttons instead of your ears.Experiment to find a comfortable style. How about some in Kubota orange with the big K logo? Does she have a lot to do? A second career? My mom knitted up some "ear savers" for my wife to take into work and pass around to the employees that were having issues. She made them with some crazy patterns and designs to lighten the mood. They were a hit with the employees.
She actually takes orders. She knits personalized christmas stockings, baby blankets, stuffed animals, ect...... I'll ask her.How about some in Kubota orange with the big K logo? Does she have a lot to do? A second career?
A thin pair of cotton gloves work as well for when your just out and about, and are easier on the digits. I have two allergies that impede wearing some gloves. A latex allergy, as well as being allergic to the talcum powder. So I have to look for nitrile gloves that are powder free. The mask don't bother me, gloves would. I wear gloves when handling herbicides and pesticides and after a couple minutes, my hands are sweating. All day and my hands would be a mess. The mask don't bother me at all. Any more it's like a reflex thing.
Why would you wear a mask in your car all alone and then take it off to go into a business establishment, makes no sense to me, but then people today make no sense anyway...lol
Was just an editorial in the local paper about that. Business here have 'no mask no service signs at the door, but people go in with no mask and no one says a word to them.
If I owned a retail business and had (would have) a no mask no service sign posted and someone came on with no mask on, I'd tell them to get out.
The same goes for the cold that is going around.....All the hubub is completely divorced from us out here. It's exactly the same as it was a month ago or a year ago or 5 years ago.
Why I'd never live in a populated area and don't want to either.
The primary reason for recommending mask wearing at this time is the significant number of people walking around that don't know they have it and can spread it to others. They are either presymptomatic, meaning they may feel sick tomorrow, or like a lot of folks, asymptomatic, meaning their symptoms are so mild they could write them off as allergies or nothing at all. Masks are very effective at preventing this kind of transmission. If you are saying, well what's in it for me, I don't care if I catch it or give it to someone else, keep in mind that a big outbreak is going to be really bad for the economy and the health care system. A lot of people do get very sick, and don't recover 100%. They cannot work as well as they used to. The reduction in deaths and ICU admissions was won at great cost to the residents of Michigan by staying at home. If everyone were courteous and considerate and wore masks and kept up the distancing, we could realistically keep the numbers low. But no, between the demonstrators of various sorts, including the gun rights/militia group this week, and the various groups that have foolishly turned this into a political issue, I am betting we too will have an upward surge in the numbers in a few weeks. The same goes for the cold that is going around.
I am really surprised we don't see a lot more people walking around with helmets on. Don't they fear falling and flying objects? People die from them everyday.
They wear a mask in the car and not a helmet? 100's of people die every day in car accidents. A helmet would help a lot of them for sure. I am not sure how the mask will help during a crash.
I fear the cold going around about as much as I fear being taken out by a flying object.
I prefer living life outside the condom. But then that is why I live where I do.
Just because people dont subscribe to your way of thinking does not make them morons or mean sob's. Its actually pretty childish to think it does. And this continued narrative of Mask=smart, no mask=dumb is not helpful. To quote flip and lil foot, morons, and to my way of thinking, mean sob's. I grant you my opinion expressed above is pretty one sided. It was just based on the idea someone would drive into the dealership with a mask on while in their car, then take it off and walk up to the service writer and breathe on them. Seemed kind of dumb to me.Just because people dont subscribe to your way of thinking does not make them morons or mean sob's. Its actually pretty childish to think it does. And this continued narrative of Mask=smart, no mask=dumb is not helpful.
Some folks may have health problems with wearing a mask and some may be more enlightened and logical than others as far as to when and where to wear a mask.
Until we get real numbers and real info, everything pretty much is up for debate. Its unfortunate but information is manipulated for agendas.
