Which is second fiddle to cutting out rust/cancer and weld in new metal. Granted that is a bit overkill though.Search on "Ospho".
But its second fiddle to striping/sanding, repriming & painting.

you will need a large tub or kiddy pool or something, but this is cheap and effective!

Down and dirty use Por-15, and repaint. Have used it on a couple of restos i'v done and it work great.Anyone got any tips, recommendations, products for extensive rust removal?
The bota has extensive rust on the fenders that is spreading. looking to attack this thing once and be done with it

That's what I used growing up, and it worked great.Naval jelly. Original rust convertor.
I have used evapo-rust with decent results.
