It's badged :D The kubota stickers came in two pieces. The main kubota sticker, and another that goes on top for the model. Kubota sticker has to be trimmed to fit the hood.

Then I went looking for something to replace the zenoh badge on the front grill. Found this on eBay :D

Almost done :D just gotta paint and mount the handles. Paint the white on the hazard lights black and mount those. And pick up some black door gasket to trim around the headlight :D

It looks great, however now that it looks so good will we ever again see a picture of it dirty and actually doing work? Anybody who's worried about a little bird poop isn't going to want to get it dusty:(, muddy:mad:, or scratched:eek:. I mean real work not leading the Easter Parade on Sunday.;);):D

Great job Daren. Looks brand spankin' new.
Thanks :D Sent some photos to my in laws since they were the ones who gave it to me :D Sent some to dad also. Both said the same thing. Its amazing what a buffing and some fresh paint will do. Neighbor was heading down the road while I was mowing. He did a triple take and almost went in the ditch :D

I was able to get enough weight with the box, that I was able to pull the wheel weights off :D

Will update the avatar once the handles are mounted, tail lights are on and the front lights have been trimmed. So, a couple weeks it will be done

Nice!!
One big thing preventing me from doing the same is the decals. One thing i noticed, mine is L1501 Special. Why is it a special? I havent found anything to define it.

On some equipment, like Caterpillar, they put an "SA" at the end of the serial number. That indicated "special application". That could be something added at time of manufacture. Like a special winch or toolbar.

"In the mid-1960s, in order to meet the needs of the large farms and ranches of the West, especially in the wheat-raising areas, Caterpillar engineered tractors, styling them the "Special Application" tractors - D4, D5, and D6. The "SA" models, engineered for drawbar work (i.e., pulling agricultural implements), offered direct-drive transmissions, variable horsepower in higher gears, full-length fenders to reduce dust reaching the operator from the fast-moving tracks, and more creature comforts."

Frank, maybe Kubota did something similar. Does your tractor have any obvious peculiarities?
