Yup, we’ve got west coast pricing out here, add 20 to 25%. But no sales tax in Oregon, except for the 0.57% corporate activity tax (CAT) that gets directly passed on to the consumer and added to the invoice for all large purchases.

Those prices are nuts. I had an LP grapple, albeit an SGC0548, but I wouldn't pay $3k for an SGC1560 let alone $5,780 ... this is getting ridiculous.
Nuts indeed. That's double what I was quoted when I bought my tractor. Not even a year ago! Well, for the 1060 anyway. I'm sure I have the paper somewhere. $2100 or right around there. I half wonder if K sees the ones from all the USA manufacturers and figured they could up their prices. Especially if one is financing. I didn't pay near $4k for my EA dual lid. Certainly wouldn't for a 1060.
Hence why I do not own at SGC1060 even though that’s what I wanted when I was looking to buy a grapple early this year. I wasn't willing to give $4100 for it.
Instead I got my 66” CDI grapple and it even has greasable pins on ALL the pivot points, as well as four (vs two) hinge points on the single upper. It was $2900 and it felt pretty spendy.
Prices of steel have gone nuts. I wouldn't recommend buying a cheap grapple made from thick and heavy mild steel plate.
WR Long also makes good quality grapples and were also sold by Everythingattachments before they got bigger. I think they still sell some of the WR Long 3rd function kits and other stuff. I bought a EA grapple and noticed they used china made hydraulic cylinders I don't know if they still do or not I sold mine but I never had any problems with it I just needed a dual clamp model for my track loader and went with a much heavier duty model made by Quick Attach. WR Long grapples are well made and would be a good match for a compact tractor.

It has, but LP steel has gone nutser. The EA dual lid I bought 9 months ago is the same price. The LP is now almost twice what it was. I remember wrestling with the "extra cost" of the EA since it was more $$ at the time. But LP had no ETA on a 60" grapple. So I coughed up the extra $900 to EA and waited 4 months.
Edit- that's not exactly apples to apples. The EA equivalent was a couple hundred difference. I paid $900 more because I went with the dual lid root grapple as opposed to the single lid root rake grapple.

It being Mexafornia though, explains everything!
We have the SGC1060 with my L6060 and it stays on the tractor all the time. The EA lead time was too long and we needed the capability right away. We are owner operators so it's good for us - if you have someone else running your equipment, you might want to get heavier metal.
Update: Well, this is interesting. After putting money down on the Land Pride SGC1560, I found some conflicting information on Land Pride's website. They mentioned that the teeth were Grade 80 steel, but also indicated that the construction was AR400 steel. Looking at the tines, they had no removable teeth. What would you conclude? 
Uh huh. I sent them a message asking them what their tines were actually made of because we can't have a continuous piece of steel that is of two types, ....ehhh? They replied that the SGC15 product line was actually made of Grade 80 steel and NOT AR400. Whoops! They said they'd change their product information on their site right away, which they did. Wow. Search across all other sites on the internet for dealers that sell the SGC15 series and you'll see it says AR400. That's a big mishap and at worst is misrepresenting the product. Kinda made me upset, but they have another product line, the SGC20 series and it is made of AR400 steel (confirmed). I had to go up to the 72" model (actually 74.5") as they don't have a 60" model in that line and another $1K or so more. So, went with that. Wide as my tractor's front wheels. It's on order now. Should be a couple of weeks.

Should be a couple of weeks.I just got a Virnig VR40 66" for my Kubota 5200. Used it for about 10 hours this past weekend for moving brush piles and logs. Pretty happy with it, very solid but it is heavy for sure.

They should thank you for finding the mistake by selling you the 20 series at the 15 series price. Water under the bridge since you’ve ordered it already. I dont have a root rake type, so probably not what you're looking for, but I cant pass up an opportunity to show off my Kubota. I have a Paladin and have been very happy with it. I have spent the last year clearing about 3 acres of trees and of all my attachments, I use the grapple the most. I really like that the jaws work independently so if you have a odd shape log it still grabs on tight.

It’s been a while but this is the grapple I ended up purchasing!Yes, it is designed with double clamps and I definitely would not own a single after using this bad boy. Yes, it is designed to use the grapples in fully open position as a debris rake due to the stops . I have put this grapple through heck and back , grabbing limbs from live tree’s and ripping them with a lot of times getting pulled sideways which means a bad angle on the grapple‘s hundred's of times with Zero Damage! I told the manufacturer that I was going to put it to the test and I have! This 66” is only 458lbs , it has stands and built from A400 steel. I did end up waiting 2.5 months to receive it but they build them 1 at a time / paid order. The root rake tines are fairly close together and work great at clearing new ground! The owner doesn’t do a good job of showing how well these are built but he has the personality of a piece of cardboard

. The welds are beautiful , it has zerks at every hinge point and I am so pleased I went this route. I was hesitant at the price but it was a buy once cry once purchase for Me because I know how hard I can be on equipment. There is one thing that I am adding and that is 1/4” expanded metal to protect the hoses and fittings in the center.
