My wife and I are both originally from Illinois, we’ve also lived in Wisconsin about 45 miles south of Green Bay. Know what y’all are dealing with and that’s why I’m here lol. But what we find funny here is Monday night there was a chance of snow here. Just a chance lol and it would maybe be a dusting. They closed the schools down the day before just in case it did. I was in New Orleans for training this week and they closed some schools there because of the “cold”. Lows were like 29
Yeah, now remember you've gone through some BBBRRR weather.

Closing schools at 29 degrees....hmmm...as you probably recall, that's a heat wave in winter in some places...

The temp is moving up.... now 9 deg.

I got the stove stoked for the night. Good ole Osage Orange, wood that is harder than steel. House is 76 deg. and the furnace hasn't been on this winter!

Earlier this week, we had -37C, with wind chill down to -50C. For our southern neighbors, -50C is about -58F.
Yes, and I had to go out, once it warmed up to about -20C, to clear the driveway with my BX25. It started ok, though it complained a bit....

Wish I was in Djibouti Africa, 90+ in the winter...
(140-150 in the summer)...

Glad I’m not at Fort Knox right now, 5 degrees...
That was being a little gradious with the temps:

In Djibouti, the summers are short, sweltering, and mostly cloudy; the winters are long, warm, and partly cloudy; and it is oppressive, dry, and windy year round. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 74°F to 106°F and is rarely below 71°F or above 110°F.

Yes is it's Hot and Dry!

NWS says 40 here on Sunday with rain. Whoopee, rain on frozen ground equals bump shop time...... I'm excited. Nice to be retired.....:D

We started off warm rainy and no snow, now what we got is about 2 feet of packed snow and it won't be leaving anytime soon.
Looks like we are getting more snow and temps in the teens, so it's here till spring. :(

I feel for ya Wolf, that sucks. The last few years here the winter seems to be showing up later so I'm sure we'll be in for our share and probably before too long but I'll be fine with being wrong. Keep warm my friend, before we know it we'll be complaining about the heat I hope. ;)

Here on the mid coast of British Columbia it is raining and 8*C 42*F
mildest winter I can remember for the last 45 years so far
weather forecast said we are in for a cold spell with -18*C from a large Arctic front heading south
I have plenty of dried fire wood and projects in the shop to keep me busy
cheers
Hank
