N.Y,
Pizza tonight. Made the dough in the Zojirushi and picked a couple black brandywine tomatoes from the garden. Fresh mozzarella

Picked some fresh basil and oregano. A drizzle of olive oil

Slap it all together, grate some Parmigiana on top.

15 minutes later Margherita pizzas

I was in the middle of getting some cookie dough ready this morning

20250822_082337.jpg

And here comes my neighbor (the one that was just in that bad wreck few weeks ago) down the driveway.

Me and the boy, mostly the boy, have been helping him and his ole lady do stuff around their property and garbage and mail and what not until they're all healed up and back on their feet.

He knows we're Italian and love to cook, brings me some goodies to play with LOL, what a guy!

I reckon i'll do something with it tomorrow or sunday.

Baking cookies while the wife bakes her famous banana bread. These are 35g versions, small dudes, that I can bake in about 8-10 minutes with the convection on at 325. Quick and easy.

If it wasn't for remodeling all the bathrooms (with my 3301 money lol) i'd have my dream kitchen started by now. Her and I often fight over oven space.

I got a stand alone unit a while back to help out and also something we can use when the power is out. Keeps tensions down in the kitchen between us LOL.

Well I tried. The fam and I all agreed that gnocchi tasted absolutely terrible.

I've personally never made it before. I've had it two other times with my pops and was made from scratch. He showed me how to half roll it with a fork after it was cut. Kind of fun, not too time consuming, and tasted fantastic.

This did not LOL, plus the bruschetta's were way too small, took forever to prepare.

One with sausage and peppers.

Crust is pretty dark, but not burnt. Rest of it is about perfect.

Sloppy Josephs.....

as ugly as they are, the taste is actually spot on with the addition of egg and avocado. But once you grab one, you can't let it go. Its a hot mess!

The base of the meat was 2lbs ground brisket and 1lb 80/20, onions, garlic, normally use red peppers but all kroger had was yellows. Same difference i reckon.

And the kids MUST have tater tots with them otherwise all hell breaks loose LOL.

Now that is super-creative!! ;)

It's a take on a simple sandwich with so many improvements....ground brisket and 80/20, peppers, seasoning, egg, avocado, etc....

Tip my hat to you, sir! 😋

Heck, we still do Tater Tots and Onion Rings here and we're classified as "elderly."
