Threw a shoulder on the smoker this morning. I usually wait till late evening but this one will be done here around 9. I’ll let it rest till midnight or and off to the fridge to be pulled in the morning

I did think about you and wished that you were there. This is an annual event that takes place every April. These were seasoned perfectly and were probably the best that I have ever eaten.

You and @Fordtech86 are fortunate to have them for part of the year.

Yes Sir, Crawfish are a wonderful seasonal delight but usually quite expensive.

A 30 pound sack of cooked Crawfish would be $200 and they would hardly cover the bottom of a 150 quart cooler. Just guessing but I could see where that cooler could easily be $1k.

My birthday dinner will be surf & turf.

Porterhouse and fried shrimp and scallops.

I breaded the seafood at Christmas 2023. This is the leftover I didn’t fry.

Steaks will go on a very hot grill until rare.

If the frost were out, this would be almost done enough for @Fordtech86….sounds like he likes “blue” as we used to call it. Cool/cold center…..darned near still mooing and walking.

Happy Birthday. I always try to get out fishing on my birthday and am usually served nothing but cold shoulder and hot tongue when I get home!

Ha! We did a good job on the stuff. The steaks were very good.

The Mrs. Carrot cake was delicious…

Been a little tied up with some family issues.

Braised pork chops with garlic, soy and a little Chardonnay along with some Basmati rice.

If there were a "smell-a-vision" option.....smells really good!
