I got most of the wildlife waters filled up yesterday. Last few rain events have been missing us again.

I have had the 40v Greenworks pole saw for about 5 years and it's been great. Powerful and if you keep the chain sharp, it gnaws through about anything. I also have the blower and vac. Got the vac to clean out my planter and the blower to clean off my brush hog. Thumbs up on the vac, the blower is a little under powered.

I also have the weedwhacker for the 80 volt Greenworks battery, and before I ran over my chainsaw (and futher solidifying my brand preference to them) I had also bought a hedge trimmer to assist in keeping my bike trail open. Got a 60 volt lawn mower also. TW: their 80 volt battery charger is done right, has a fan to keep things cool, first class all the way.

Fair enough
It's OK, I didn't brew coffee this morning. I brew coffee EVERY morning.
I slept really good last night, finished cooking breakfast and turned around to get a cup, lol no coffee. I grabbed one The Laundry Fairy's Dr. Peppers and called it good.

Took the snow plow ballast boxes out of the one-ton and put them away. A simple job but good loader practice.

Good to know that they can take a beating :) Once you mentioned the hedge trimmers, I remembered I had a set also. Use those for trimming lanes for hunting blinds, and they work very well also.

Tisk-Tisk,.....Throw that 5 lb dry chem extinguisher (on the wall) AWAY.
That has a plastic handle grip, that commonly breaks when used.
Metal valve and handle units are the ONLY ones sure to work, when you need them!

Thanks for the tip - But I just went out and looked. It is metal. Must be my poor photography that fooled you. :)

Just watch for dirt splattered on the stuff you’re gonna chip. Might not hurt to wash it with a hose first. Sand stuck to the brush will dull chipper blades almost as fast as rocks.

Moving a bit of dirt again today as well as cutting the back field. Then it happened, oh well time for the next round of maintenance. I already have the filters and fluids on hand.

I used the EA box blade on the back of the MX this evening to do a bit more leveling of the gravel that my neighbors had delivered, and that was rather unprofessionally dumped on the lower driveway. I also did a bit more cutting/dirt moving on the new driveway I'm putting in.

I was reminded that a box blade is a really useful tool and I would have to choose it over the EA land leveler if I could only have one or the other. Luckily I have both, but the land leveler is better at leaving a nice finish on a reasonably flat and level driveway and not so good at moving material around to get a flat and level driveway.

One final thought ... this MX is the cat's meow running around at 2,100 rpm in mid range. It'll pull a fully loaded box blade up hill with ease in mid range. My property is very hilly and the MX handles it like a champ regardless of the task. Such a great tractor and frankly I couldn't, and wouldn't go smaller given what I do and where I do it. I do wish that the 3-point control was smoother. The M6060 control is so smooth in comparison, and therefore much easier to use when trying to adjust the position of the implement.

welp, did my last job for the plumbing company today. The company was sold and my wife (GM) will not be working for the new owner...so neither will I.

I had a good time doing the work, very enjoyable digging for me. So, I suppose I'll need to branch out more for the mini to earn its keep.

A guaranteed way for the new owners to start on the correct foot to keep customers happy. I suggest that you mail a letter to all the people that you have done work telling them that you are no longer associated with the plumbing company and ask them to refer their friends and family to you directly. Also, contact other plumbing companies and offer them your services.

For a hack, I am pretty excited about what I got done on my B2620 TLB today. I need covered storage for a variety of trailers, tractor implements, and a bunch of other stuff. Plans for a container box pole barn got derailed by a host of issues so I have backburned that project and will erect a 20x30 carport structure for a tenth of the cost of the pole barn. So I cleared a wooded section of the property to get ready for the carport. I still need to so some boxscraping to get it a bit more level and then spread some gravel.

Here is what it looked like at the start

And this is what I ended up with

I learned alot and got much faster near the end. It is impressive what one can do with a compact tractor!

Got the tractor back up the hill with my friend's help (and his ATV). Just pulled very gently and after a few feet of help, the tractor climbed the rest effortlessly.

Pulled the FEL today to try out the MMM since the grass grew just enough to be able to actually see where I cut. It cuts really nicely and the tractor is a whole different animal without the loader - super maneuverable. I also found that I don't think I need wheel spacers. The rear tires are loaded with beet juice. I tried cutting some of the slopes that I cut with my old x500 (maybe 15 degrees sideways) and the stability felt really similar. I got off a few times as I gradually got to steeper inclines and gently rocked it and it's firmly planted.

I do need to practice reconnecting the FEL more, though. I had a heck of a time lining up the left side. I'd get the bottom to hook, then as I curled the bucket to get the top to hook the right side went fine but the left side would pop the bottom out. Just as I was going to walk away and try again later, I looked and it was in position, I locked it, and it was good to go. First time I removed and remounted it as a test, I didn't struggle nearly as much. I'm wondering if it's because my garage floor has a slight slope to a center drain and previously I did it on a totally flat concrete pad under a canopy out back.
