First Kubota snowblower that I have ever seen with an orange chute and lift hoops at the ends! Must have cost a lot to get all that as an option.
They've been all orange for about three years now.

Found this guy laying in my yard this morning. Shot through the hind quarter with an arrow. I’m not a hunter, so I had to figure things out. DEC (dept. of environmental conservation) biologist and forest ranger came, gave me a tag, and helped me gut it (the kind ranger did all the work really). Then I brought it to a small local place to be processed. Tractor made light work of bringing it up to the field away from my chickens to field dress, as well as loading it in to the truck.

While a lot of you guys are putting on snow blowers, I was out blowing leaves today. Won't be the last time this fall/winter. Plenty more to drop around here in the midlands of SC. Can't see it in the picture, but there's two 5/16" U bolts holding it in the bucket.

Thanks @rc51stierhoff, @Chanceywd and @dirtydeed and for many others who know what it's like to lose a family member. For those of us blessed to have animals as companions throughout our lives, we go through this time and time again. I've said goodbye to a lot of dogs over the years, but Maggie is the first one that I've buried. I usually have them cremated once they pass away, and keep their ashes in nice boxes, but this is the first place I've lived where I could imagine remaining for the rest of my life, and so it seemed fitting to bury her here. My little heeler mix is missing Maggie too, but we'll get through it.
Sorry for your loss. I know how you feel. Over the last 35 years I have buried 5 best friends on the property.

@mcmxi - sorry for your loss. I have a current dog named Maggie. She's a lab mixup.

I got my new to me L45 on Monday and have been going over it. I found that the factory 3rd function wasn't working (I don't think it was ever used - capped off on the loader). I got into the hydraulic area and identified the suspect wiring harness. I started out with the connectors and found them all dirty. I blew them all out and used contact cleaner.

After cleaning the harness connectors where the main power came in I was able to detect 12v but still no worky. I took apart the switch on the loader control area and cleaned it up, then I got the little green light and the one of the buttons would work. I hunted down the relays and found a bad one. Ordered it and received it today. All fixed!

I still need my pioneer connectors but it should be usable next week for my grapple. I had it up at the shop so I decided to see if the paint will come up at all. Spent about 5 minutes with a car polisher and some compound to take this

Then I finished pulling this stump I started yesterday. My biggest yet. The loader on this thing is nuts compared to my LA402 on the B.

"The loader on this thing is nuts"

The L45 is a machine built for construction use! :)
NOT.... just another adapted farm tractor!

Best part about it is that it would put some distance between me and some very stupid people that deserve little more than a good slap up side their head to try to shake some of the stupid off. Stupid normally takes care of itself, but there’s an awful lot of it around these days. Not enough slaps, I reckon.
Just like Ron White sais "you can't fix stupid.

Sadly, even the slap won’t any help more because stupidity is the acceptable norm these days and any effort to correct or change behavior is offensive. I’m glad I grew up in a time when my parents and teachers (or any adult for that matter) didn’t really care if they offended me, and didn’t spare the rod much either, sometimes just in anticipation of my next detour down the path of stupidity. A preemptive strike, if you will. I’m a lot better off for it. I learned to stop doing stupid stuff and apply my effort toward education, respect, and being self sufficient.

STRESS: “When the mind overrides the body’s basic desire to slap the ever loving s**t out someone who desperately deserves it. “ This often misunderstood definition is probably why I’m not in prison. I understand it.

Another favorite from “Tater Salad” is “THERE’S YOUR SIGN!” I probably say “Darwin was right!” at least twice a day.

Cover removed. Everything that moves (Not where control rods go into the valve body) was lubricated with PB Blaster or a heavier base lube.

LA340 FEL Support Legs & Linkeages

All contact and rotational areas lubricated. The before and after functionality was Night & Day much better.

Loaded the tractor, grapple and BTR on the trailer for a early start in the morning. Got a large clean up project at my uncle's left over from a hurricane last year.

Funny addendum: the deer was shot by the butthole who sued me trying to claim squatters rights (and lost).

I have 2 large Elm trees to remove because they are in a place where I want to build a shop. I worked on the smaller 1 today. It has a hollow center.

More leaf removal with the grapple yesterday.

Used the pallet forks to move home lumber around.

Used the bucket to do a little leveling in the parking area.

Not much. Staged my blades behind the garage where I can get at them when snow flies. Snowblower is on the tractor and all ready to go.

I can blow right up to them, spin around and hook up.
