Hauled off four more trailer loads of leaves (to an old erosion ditch in my back yard) that I picked up with the little orange machine. “Allowed” the missus to wash both after we finished. Well actually, just kinda like hosing them off, while I swept the shed to get up all the dirt, grass, and leaves the little guy leaves on floor. She normally unloads the bagger to the trailer for me which shaves a little time off the autumn cleanup activity. Knocks almost 30 minutes off the job if I don’t have to dismount, empty, and remount the mower. Been remodeling the kitchen, so she helps me with the yard work.

"Fred Cain plow"????
Is that the Fred Cain (5 or 7 shank) field cultivator?

I bought a new 7 shank field cultivator, on E-Bay, ....from Sweet Farm Equipment,.... in Canmer, Kentucky.
Ken Sweet assured me that it was equal to the Fred Cain cultivator.
Pure hogwash.
A total POS....made in India!

Sure wish I had opted for the Fred Cain cultivator.
Depending on brand, a chisel plow can be also know as a cultivator. A chisel plow normally have heavier frames and shanks than field cultivators.

Not sure the brand I have, frame is made out of heavy wall square tubing and it has solid 3/4 x 2in heavy bar stock for the shanks, and change out differnt size of shoes or add the spring rippers.

After adding a couple braces and expanded mesh to my kubota step and seeing the BX steps that Paul Short was making up in Canada.
I went back to the drawing board to make something alot better then the POS that I threw together.
Paint is still drying in the photo. I'll put it on in a couple days and take another photo.

It depends, if we get the full 80 acres or just half.

The wife has always wanted to raise chickens, so that will happen. IF we get the full 80, then half will stay in row crops, 20 acres will go to garden, chickens, pigs, and the other 20 will either go into conservation program for 7 years, could go into hay production, or it could be row cropped.

Right now my wife is struggling with some health issues that has had her unable to drive since July. She undergoes surgery at the end of November and will be in wheelchair for three months and hopefully after that she will start to get some of her mobility back.

So, lots of things in flux, but we know the good Lord has a plan and we are just trying to roll with it. We continue to make plans and budget accordingly so when the opportunity opens up we will be in a position to take advantage of it.
Prayers for her, you and y'alls family!

I just purchased a 2005 M4800su with 760 hrs on the clock at a local auction yesterday.
So today I unloaded the Kubota from the trailer, and drove for the first time today, I also was able to get my wife on the M4800 and she loved it :)

Now I need to find a LA1002 FEL
Nice! Welcome to OTT sir!

Tractor House I think had a used one listed last week.

I'd like to apologize on behalf XXXX, that the first reply you got was not very welcoming.

Trying to find a used LA1002 FEL?
Nobody takes a loader off their tractor to sell it separately!
Good luck!
May be easier to find a diamond in your Rice Krispies.
I didn't say a used LA1002 FEL

It’s the 7’ 9 shank version. I bought it from everything attachments, but they no longer sell them. Mine said Fred Cain and made in Kentucky. It has worked flawlessly for 2 garden seasons now. I did change out the lift pins to Cat2 size.

Yup.......The Fred Cain one is the one I SHOULD have bought!
The Fred Cain Field Cultivator is still listed for sale on the EA website.

Used the L3901DT and grapple to load leaves in the trailer to take down in the woods. Two grapple loads in the trailer would just about fill the trailer up. Man did that made cleaning up the leaves a lot easier. Blew them in to three piles and loaded the trailer. Then used a rack to get up what I didn't get with the grapple. Don't have any pictures.

Yesterday, gave cows a fresh round bale. Then we collected 2 buckets of fertilizer from the corral.

Sweet looking find you have there. Hope you can source a loader for it. Having run smallish tractors without loaders for many years, I’ve been near amazed how much a SSQA loader with bucket, forks, and grapple really puts the “Utility” in Compact Utility Tractor. Whatever it costs, it’s worth every penny.

Finally started fluid service on the M with engine oil and filter. Actually started yesterday but after draining the crankcase I realized I only had about a gallon and a half in the shop and being Sunday I was SOL until today when the stores opened. Trans fluid and filters next. I have them in stock 😊
