Great pics…recently I have seen articles / interviews and other propaganda suggesting men can get pregnant, so I struggle to say something is not possible anymore. But seriously to your question, it would be rare for a doe to not have dropped the fawn for this calendar year. But from the pic, she looks like she may be eating for two. Normally breeding season begins in end oct / beginning Nov pending your location. It varies north to south regionally. D&DH in past has been good source for information….here’s a link:
Thanks for your reply and link! I know I have seen what I think is late fawns this year on my cameras and in person. I will update if I see a new spotted little one roaming the place.

Senior moment today cleaning up the garden. Placed the hand pruner in the convenient slot on the upper front end loader arm under the top zerk. Forgot I placed it there and lifted a bucket full for the compost pile. Halfway there I discovered the mistake. The zerk is mostly gone and will need to be replaced. Is this a standard zerk or a special item? Looks like a 45% angle......just a basic L front loader.
Thanks for any help in advance.
It will be metric. On mine I think the socket size is 11mm and the zerk is considered a 10mm and a 10mm x 1mm thread should work. I’m not the best at zerk replacement but have found placing paper towel in the socket helps to keep it lined up when screwing in. If your threads are damaged bad most people I think retap with SAE threads.

Thanks for the information pokey. Looks like I'll be making a trip to the dealer for the needed zerk, if the threads are not damaged.

Did some parts searching.

I'm amazed that some parts for 34-year old tractors are still stocked by dealers.

Specifically, I've been looking for the plastic parts on G1800/G1900, just to see what my options are. Much to my amazement, an NOS headlight assembly is still stocked, and at less than $100!

I was also looking for the sheet metal front mount cover, but these are like $140. The one I have is OK, just needs some time with the power hammer, which my son can provide.

Also the steel chute cover for the RC54 and RC60 decks can still be bought NOS, but for like, $160. That's a lot of jack. But, on the other hand, there are two of them up on eBay now, one for $75 and one for $100, both pretty shelly. The one for $100 has been welded up.

Y'know, I'll never use the headlights on my G1800. But, looking at that busted unit every day gets to me. Mixed emotions.

Look at it THIS way….. For the cost of ONE MONTH’s Payment….your tractor can begin to look NEW again….without having to buy a whole new tractor with emissions controls. ;)

Actually, my old leather recliner. Thought someone might grab it off front lawn for FREE…

PS - in 46 minutes it was gone….
I tried to DONATE a great recliner to Good Will. They don’t/won’t take large furniture items anymore.
I went to Salvation Army. Nope.
i went to the Public Library Second-Hand store. Nope.
I went to the small Black Baptist Church. The pastor asked me to come inside. I did. He showed me a room FULL of large recliners which had been donated and they couldn’t find new owners for them.

I put it in a hole I’d dug with a backhoe years ago, … set it on fire, and drank cold beer while the sun went zooming down the west and with my dog laying beneath my Kubota RTV.

Unrolled a couple hundred feet (aprox) of fencing. Wasn't sure how we were gonna do it, but then came up with a plan involving the BX.....
Nearly impossible to see, but we tied the fencing to a tree (off to the right) then put a pipe through the fencing and backed up the BX. ( I did shorten the orange strap just after this pic was taken). I am about 1/4 of the way into the job at this point.

The thinking was, I didn't know how springy this fencing would be (I'm not a farmer; so no experience with fencing) and if anything broke, I wanted it springing away from me. It all worked out fairly smoothly.

Man, I love this thing/tool/machine/toy! Makes all jobs easier (& fun!)

If my wife had asked me to do this job a couple years ago, she would've heard a big groan as I am sure it would be a bit of an undertaking by hand.

As it was, she heard me say something like "Tractor, sure ! Let's go!)

Not sure what the roll weighed when we started. It was almost impossible to move by hand. I recall when we bought it home ~15 yrs ago I used a come-a-long to get it into a trailer. I'd guess there was close to 240' of fencing time we were done unrolling.

Used the grapple to clean up a tree at my sister's and brother in law. Got home and used the phd to drill a hole for a new mailbox post. Got a pallet and made the PHD more portable when it's off the tractor. Got a couple leg bolts securing the stand to the 2x6.

Used the FDR2584 to mow the grass for the last time of the season and then called a day.

On another note had it's second regen at 108 hours. First was at 18. I'd say 80 hours were mostly tilling and mowing while the last 10 were loader work.

Same customer as the previous what did I do with my Kubota post...
This project was to create a parking area for the customer so he can park up to 4 vehicles or his motor home on a level surface.

Used the Homestead grapple to unload logs from my trailer. Man does a grapple make this a lot easier. I used to have to put a chain around the logs, pull them off the trailer and then be able to pick them up with the pallet forks. With the grapple, just reach over the side of the trailer and pick them up.

MD, you know you should not be giving any comments or evidence of the effectiveness of a grapple. You will surely offend those who think pallet forks are the answer to all brush/tree moving needs! ;)

Prepping for my driveway extension. I had to transplant 2 trees that would just be in the way.

Norway spruce needed to be moved 4-5 feet to the right of its current position.

Orange paint is where my dog fence is located. If anyone needs to find theirs, you can use an AM radio and headset to locate the wire. It works quite well. I've used the same set up to locate underground electric service as well. It works in a pinch as long as the line isn't too deep.

Mowed with the 1700 and brought up a couple buckets of firewood with the 3200. Went out later and cut some new trails in the woods. Forgot the phone so no pictures.

How do you use AM radio to trace the wire?
