From yesterday, I mowed with the zero turn and moved my new smoker to the shed from my car with the tractor. The isotune over ear headphones we got for my wife and I have been pretty excellent on the mower. Even inspired me to order the ear bud style for work. Back to the boat now for a week and change of cleaning the windows and topping off the oil.
My original Kubota battery lasted 12 years, and it was an Eastern Penn. In my new Ford the battery lasted 6 months, and then crapped out. It was replaced with a new "factory" battery, and that one lasted about 2 1/2 years. My wife has the same car like mine, we bought them a month apart, and hers lasted 4 years. You never know how long a battery is going to last, even when they both start off equal. Her car moves every day, and mine can sit for a week at a time, and the battery gets no exercise.

I found a nice used BX2230 for sale and convinced a brother he needed it. One of the attachments was the front mount snowblower with a hand crank for chute rotation. I had helped a neighbor convert his to 12vdc rotation and decided to make a “Christmas Gift Kit” for the brother’s rig.
A short piece of angle iron bolts to the blower near the chute. A slot cut with a cut off wheel provides an easy way to secure the 12vdc window regulator motor to that bracket with hose clamps. A small piece of black neoprene rubber between the bracket and motor provides a little cushion and "give" during operation.
A short piece of round rod turned and bored to the proper OD & ID matches the motor shaft to the hand crank receptor/mount. Set screws secure it to the motor shaft.
Here it is mounted in place. I’ll clean up some sharp corners and paint the bracket Kubota orange. The motor spins the chute like nobody’s business!
I’ll let him decide where he’d like a control switch to be mounted. It's a pretty easy and cheap way to add motorized chute rotation to these snow blowers.

I’m the captain and one of the original employees of the company. We operate nine vessels on the east and gulf coasts doing a variety of towing, dredging support, and offshore services.
for this boat this is a normal day at work.

That is our "Lady Sadie"
We got her at 7 weeks, she turned 2 on July 24th., is spoiled rotten, and we love her dearly.
She is crazy for the tennis ball, but recently has become addicted to a hose toy called a "Jolly ball".
It is a 10" dia. non inflatable ball that weighs 2 lbs.
It has a large carry handle, and she carries it everywhere!
For two old people, Sadie is an absolute delight.

In my opinion, the Walmart Everstart Max batteries are the best bang for the buck.
The "Max" is apparently not available in all sizes.
I just installed a PTO switch on my L3560LE that mounts on side of seat to keep tractor running when I get out of seat with PTO engaged. How come the tractor still shuts down when I get out of seat. The connector was there already just had to plug it in and screw it down.

Long ago I was a grunt running a shovel, manual post hole digger, and driving the truck for a cable laying crew. I could drive a small manual dump truck trailering equipment and had a clean driving record unlike the rest of the crew, which is why they gave me the job.
Crew boss ran the machines 90% of the time. Second in the pecking order ran them the rest of the time. I still remember the first day the crew boss, with no warning, told me to get on the big Case cable plow to start a run with the chain ditcher, then turn it around and plow in a little 1000’ run. That was the first and last thing I’ve driven that steered with a joint in the middle and used a single joystick for steering, speed, and direction. If it didn’t have a hydraulic offset on the plow so I could adjust to cover for my crappy driving it would have looked like a half asleep drunk plowed it. Seems almost silly now how exciting it was but I can understand a bit how your man was feeling getting his hands on the controls of the mini-ex.
