Installed cruise control and tilt wheel on my LX2610 SU. Now I have the worlds only SU with tilt wheel. Did the cruise control because I had it apart.

Been busy in the woods, finally took the camera with me and got some pics.
Already shipped one truckload and this lot makes two, at least one more load still standing.
This tree is typical of the mature hemlocks and the underbrush in the fall zones is dense!

I changed out my front third function hydraulic couplers today on the FEL of my L3901, the original 1/2” ag style couplers have been leaking since I started using my grapple earlier this year. My dealer fitted 2 male ag couplers to the tractor when new, I fitted the 2 female ag couplers to the grapple. Not sure why I could not get them to not leak.

I have rear ag connectors on all of my tractors and have no issues.

I had 2 existing pairs of 1/2” flat face couplers that I had removed from other items so I fitted those using a male and female on the FEL and the other pair on the grapple, problem solved, no more leaking. All the leaking ag connectors went in the trash, I must top off the hydraulic fluid as I have been leaking for months.

just one of those jobs you keep meaning to do is finally done.

I have ag fittings on my MX5800 FEL, never had a leak, I’m thinking that maybe I purchased some slightly different female ag style couplers that were somehow not compatible with my FEL fittings on the L3901. Not going to dwell but may just swap my MX5800 FEL fittings out to flat face along with the heavy duty large grapple fittings, everything for my track loader and excavator already use flat face couplers. Will keep using ag fittings on the tractor rear remotes.

Dropped two more trees as part of my effort to give some apple trees room to breath, and our Adirondack chairs a view of the mountain. The couple other ones I’ve dropped are in the brush and I’ll get them later. Only good place to drop both of these was onto a grassy open area. Came through with the tractor to clean them up.

Its leaf season in upstate NY. Got out the lawn sweeper early this year - I am going to try to maintain it and not wait they are deep - I have 4 huge maples in the front yard. Once your get the rope pull to dump and reset you can do the whole job from the seat of the tractor. I use the blower to clear the driveway and around the trees while the tractor warms up and then it is almost like cheating. I dump them in the back yard along the woods line and push it back with the loader when I need to. Sure beats raking!

Was a good day to work with the grapple. I have two goals with it. One is to harvest some New England Potatoes and use them for landscape features (that the Mrs approves of, of course). The other is to clean out part of the fenced in acre in the woods for the dogs. There are several downed trees in there and large rocks that make it difficult to move around.
First get the back blade off & ballast box on - need the maneuverability.

I couldn't lift this tree whole so I just got one end up at first to cut off a chunk.

Then I carried both pieces and dumped them over the fence. A slow move with all this weight so high!

Then I got to move some rocks

So the dealer said my Front End Loader, grapple, third function, and forks are finally in, so i dropped It off to get done on Wednesday. When i was There he said that he thinks a subframe kit came in for my
Backhoe, i guess We will see!

It was a great weekend here in Michigan, cooler temps and dry. It was time for a final day of wood splitting before hunting season and the eventual arrival of winter.

We grapple loaded the tilt trailer with large rounds from the storage pile, transported them back to the main barn area and tried to set up where wood handling would be at a minimum. Filled the pick up and a trailer for down state home use then made a large stack for outdoor use during hunting season.

Those 18" long 30" diameter rounds are definitely getting heavier every year, not sure what I would do without the hydraulic log lift on the splitter. Most of what we were splitting was more in the 20" - 24" diameter. Grapple loading to the trailer may be a little slower than by hand but it is a lot less wear and tear on the back! It would seem an impossible task if it were not for a buddy and a couple of tractors to help out.

The All Wood - Oak model commercial log splitter with adjustable 4 way wedge & log lift did a full day of productive work.

A great day out in the woods. Then you get up the next day and remember you still have to unload the truck and trailer full of wood!

Water service install in town today. No issues, all went smoothly. Limited damage to tree roots (client was worried about the trees). The guys did a great job cleaning up after the dig (must be the "landscaper" in me). I just can't leave a job looking like a mess. Client came out to take pics and said "wow, it's like you guys weren't even here". I'll take that any day. She was happy to have water turned back on after a week without it...you know, it's the little things...

anyway, here's a few pics. If you guys think it's too many pics, I'll be more selective in future posts...

Finished up mowing the last food plot before hunting season. Turnips already started to germinate in the new plot. Pics of the early plot planted 2 weeks ago and a pic of the clover plot I put in two years ago. The deer are happy and their bellys are full
