that’s awesome. I need To install my wood stove. I’m sick of paying the gas company. But even if I don’t use it, their service charges are almost 30$ a month here in NJ
I switched out my woodstove for a wood boiler about 16 years ago. Much more efficient and whole house heat.

I really don't know. The pic is of the cable company tech making the repair. It took them about an hour for the repair on that one.
Lots of reasonable excuses. But ultimately, I'm the one who had the hands on the control sticks.
If dig safe didn't mark it correctly, then they own the problem. If you don't call in advance, then the error is on you. My electrical and cable lines are 6 feet down in schedule 40 electrical conduit. At 2' there is plastic warning tape in the ground, and also at 4'. There should have been warning tape above the lines that you snagged. Whomever installed them, went cheap and omitted the warning tape. Most likely an independent contractor for the cable company.
I called before digging and they reported that there were no underground utilities in the area where I was digging. So I removed the stumps right alongside the pole that had both telephone and cable lines going down in the ground. Luckily no lines were hit but I wouldn't put much faith in those folks.
I have A natural gas boiler now. I love it. But it would be nice to use free wood as well
There was a big investigation and a bunch of fire trucks at a friends house.. the did the call. got the Ok to isntal a fence. rented a post hole auger and went to work...... hit a gas line!! once everything was cleared safe. There were a pile of people asking to see the diagram. The line in her backyard wasnt on any of the city or county maps.
One could only hope. Not necessarily true in the real world. Several years ago I hired a company to remove an underground oil tank next to my house. I have underground services.
They dutifully called CBYD who sent out a company to mark everything. Bottom line - they were off by 5'. Excavator hit the 400amp service just enough to pull out the neutral from the box in the basement. Didn't realize there was a problem for 3 days. Over $40k in damage.
My insurance company settled for 75% from the CBYD company and the excavator. I was stuck with 25% of my deducible and months of bullshit things we found later.
i signed papers on a new L4701HST , R4 , FEL square back bucket , level rod right side grab handle and had the dealer throw in all 50hr maint items .
I've had my L4701 HST, R4's for 6 years. I guarantee you'll be happy with your's. No one will be able to knock the smile off your face even with a 20 lb sledge hammer when you get it.
Put rear view mirrors on the RTV today for when snow plow season starts. Boss plow still isn't in yet though, even though I ordered it in the spring.

3rd evening in row this week been using the B to pull log splitter to pile / split a few hrs and return to garage.
Recently did a little late corn planting, to give the deer something to eat as the first frosts or snow comes.
The wood clear up is a constant task, got the old buzz saw out for a large stack of small diameter cuts. Killed the 40 year old buzz saw gearbox, guess the oil seals leaked and it did not run so well without any oil on this very hot day! New gearbox on order but delivery is 14 weeks! Upgraded and ordered a new buzz saw, it's Italian but came from a dealer in Canada, hope to get it assembled and test it out this weekend.
The L3200 hauls a heavy load of timber from a large fallen tree in the 8' farm dump trailer. Sure makes life easier when you load with a grapple and unload with the trailer tilt!
