Keep moving is the answer. I have 30 years in medicine and when you stop you’re done. On that note I took my shiny new L2501 out today to help me put in posts for a gate on our pasture. Two 8 ft x 8in pilling s are HEAVY but my forks made transporting them to the site a breeze. Oh and it hauled the 160lbs of concrete as well. Love m some Kubota today.

Last evening I drilled the 10 holes for the light posts and planted the 4X4's. Since my driveway in that area was all 'fill' there is a load of lumpy stuff in there. Fortunately I only had to move one of the holes because I couldn't get through the rocks.

The phd did the hard work, all I had to do was clean out the holes with a manual phd and shovel the backfill. The 4X4's are in about 30" and now I have to start mounting the lights and running the wires.

It only took about an hour start to finish but I had to wring out my shirt because of the temps / humidity.

this power mole thing sounds wild! what does it do and how does it work?
Trenchless boring and pipe bursting machine. We use it to install new water lines and waste line replacement. It pulls a cutting mole with new pipe attached to a very heavy cable thru the old pipe (cast iron, PVC, Terra cotta etc). The mole splits the old pipe as it is pulled thru making way for the new pipe. The new pipe is also attached to the mole, so its pulled thru the old pipe at the same time.

It works pretty well when you can get access to both ends of the system and need to go under objects (porches, driveways, roots and utilities).

Got this piece today after a 2.5 month snails pace through the postal services. Glad it's finally here and looking forward to installing it.

And got my hydraulic top link on. Need to change the straight fitting out for a 90° elbow.

Been cutting firewood in the back 40 and skidding the logs to my wood pile.
The Norse 450 winch is a beast and makes the job a pleasure; no more dragging chains and cables to reach those distant trees:p

Found what I thought was another septic tank on the yard. Turns out it is just connected to my shop's floor drains. It is an old fuel oil tank (one of those 2'x6'x4' steel tanks) that was about a foot under my driveway. Surprisingly it hadn't collapsed with all the heavy equipment I've had coming and going. Dug around it with the backhoe and cleaned up with the shovel. Going to pour a slab of concrete overtop with some cleanouts poured in.

I walked past mine, looked at it stuffed into the corner of the garage sitting on its battery tender. Haven’t used it since the beginning of April, screwed up my shoulder and needed surgery. Surgery was 6 weeks ago so I gave it a pat on the fender to let it know I haven’t forgotten about er. :)
Been there, done that. Right shoulder, complete rupture, repaired in June last year. Left shoulder, arthritis, and spurs, and a small tear, repaired in October last year. If you had a cuff repaired, count on a 10 month healing process. Do EVERYTHING the doc and therapists tell you to. Some of the seemingly redundant exercises are very necessary to restore range of motion. Strength takes a long time to get back, and that ain’t gonna happen if you don’t have full range mobility back. The last surgery on my right shoulder was the second rupture. First time was in 2013. I’d just really gotten back to full strength and then fell on my front porch in 2018 and ripped it again. If I tear it again I’ll have to have a complete reconstruction which is longer healing time than a cuff surgery. I’ll probably become homicidal by the time that’s done. Gotta love the Immobilizer 2000. Get a wrist brace if you have to wear the sling at night. You’ll thank me later.

Wasn’t on or to the tractor, but was definitely FOR the tractor. More shed work.

However, I did dig the pad for the ramps with the undersized BB yesterday.

Working the EA Wicked 55 grapple pretty hard all day.

Lost a loader pin bolt so I improvised with a few zip ties. Going to the hardware store to get some bolts or pins.

This grapple is a game changer for burning brush piles!! Love it. Would buy it over and over again. 0 regrets.

Ohhh....422, that is exactly 1 better than my 421 :) (and it looks like it's all in that super comfortable looking seat)
the seat and transmissions are the primary reason I splurged for this over the 200 series they had at the dealer. Zero regrets, great machine. Especially with my bumpy yard!

Working on my driveway expansion and the front right is flat again. I think I’m done with these R4s on the front.

I feel your pain :(

I have been really lucky and only had one flat on all the tractors I've had. Came up against a rock in the woods and didn't realize it until I popped the bead on the rear. No matter what I tried I couldn't get it to seal. 1-800-call-tireguy

If nothing else came from it, now I am even more careful

New cable trenching attachment. I’m going to bury over 1000’ of dog fence. Figured. Why dig by hand...

Might not be the correct place, but tried out my new Box blade on the driveway of our vacation getaway to try and smooth out one rough area. Definitely made it worse, too many big rocks. Driveway is 1/4 mile easy with 100 ft bad spot from washout.
Box blade and tractor worked great. Broke one of the four scarifier blades in half after first hour.lol

Have to give a shout out to Messicks. I ordered a new scarifier yesterday morning and it hit my front porch at 0945 this morning. Very impressive. There is a dealer I go to about 40 minutes each way but I will not be up there for a week.
With fuel prices $14 shipping is nothing.
Cheers J
You may need more gravel over the big rocks. Unless you want to dig them out.
