I'm no farmer, so please excuse my ignorance. Are the beans for feed or fuel? Or just as a cover to het mulched in?
We have a few fields like that around us. Just don't know what they do with em.
More than half of soybeans grown in the US is used for animal feed. 10 to 20 percent of soybeans grown are used for human food. Plus a small percentage is used for biodiesel fuels.

There are different types of beans and the ones you see in the picture will most likely be used for animal food. They will be processed and add into different feed bags for various animals (pigs, chickens, livestock, etc.).

It is not unusual in our area for winter wheat to be planted in the fall and then harvested early summer and double crop of beans to be planted.

I would have guessed a higher % for food, soybean oil for instance. In west Tn, the bean harvest is well underway and cotton is heating up.

Corn was finished a month or so ago. I thought I saw a green corn field a few days ago, but finally saw it was sorghum.

Here is a chart that explain the use. There are basically two parts to soybeans, the meal and oil. Depending how you break it down, gives you the different percentages.

I noticed your third function valve in the 3rd picture is similar to how I've done my L35. Is yours OEM?
Yes, as far as I can tell. I have seen pictures of another l48 on the forum that has the same third function valve setup as mine. I guessing it was originally set up for a 4 in 1 bucket, back in the day.

Walked my son through a starter change on the B1700. Pretty easy job all of 20 minutes to do the swap. The starter solenoid was kicking the gear out to engage the flywheel but the starter motor would intermittently not turn. I had replaced it in 2020 while I was chasing the starting issue back then that turned out to be a voltage drop across the safety switches. I kept the OE starter and contemplated putting it back in once I had the switches figured out and a relay installed. Glad I had it. She started right up. I’ll tear in to that failed unit one of these weekends to see if it is dirty or other issues. Both the OE and 2020 units are Mitsubishi. Hopefully I can find parts if needed.

Removed BH from the L47, super easy, 1st time on this tractor, then installed 3 point linkage(new, used tractor had no side or top links), then hooked up to my new to me Landpride 1684 rear blade. About an hour all together, went slow as it was 1st time doing.

I am not certain just what it was "set up" for, but my 2006 L48 TLB is exactly the same ( perhaps it was the picture of mine that you saw ).
My 2006 L48 had only 251 hours when I got it, and has never had a 4 in 1 bucket.

Changed all the filters, oil change, new radiator hoses, radiator cap, new radiator fluid, 4 new tires, greased all fittings, got the about a half turn of free play in the steering wheel down to about a quarter turn on my B7100.

Yes, it was a picture of yours. You sent me a few pictures showing the rear remotes, and other hydraulic related items. Thank you again for the pictures.

Last week...pre-emergent spray everywhere I could find grass and weeds. Took a couple of tank loads. Used a lot counterweight on the front to offset the full tank weight when full.

Couldn't find this sprayer anywhere less than a 7 hour drive. Went to Kansas farm country For a 45 gal 3 pt sprayer.

Headed down to my land today , met my son at noon, he helped me try out the new M18 Milwaukee grease gun. I think we counted about 20 to 22 grease zirks total. Well worth the expense and with the Lock N lube that just showed up in the mail will be even better! :).

After my son left, I spent a few hours with the grapple moving more dead and dying scot pines, until the rains came. I have enough pines to keep me busy for the next couple years I think! lol, yikes.

I haven't got one of those grease guns yet but I have a couple pneumatic ones. The one I use on the tractors got a lock and lube last year definitely worth the money.

Used the BX to mow the yard for probably the last time this year. Due to the dry weather, I think I only mowed ten or eleven times since April, the last time I mowed was almost four weeks ago.
It's just short of it's 50 hour once a year oil change, but I'm going to do it anyway. Same for the JD430 I only use for snow blowing,

Sounds like what was wrong with my starter. Contacts in the solenoid get dirty/worn and don't pass the juice to the starter motor when it engages. I posted some pics about the repair about a month ago. Pretty easy fix.

I'm going to have to stop looking at this thread. Every time I look I see another great project being completed with a tool/equipment I don't have and then I want to go spend money.

What is that you are working on? Sump pump? Strange looking setup.
250 gallon sewage pump and pit. 2'x7' fiberglass pit with grinding pump at commercial business (auto repair shop).

250 gal tank is below the (pictured) 2' x 7' pit?
Sewage macerator/pump is in the 2' x 7' pit,...... or in the 250 gal. tank below?
Very strange indeed.
Is this type system common in your area?
