I bought a crane scale off eBay, goes to 1100 pounds, I've weighed all my attachments, other than the loader itself .. Kenny gave me the idea, was about $60 ...

Just picked up another QH for my new to me Kubota yesterday ... Weighs about 3 Lb more than the other one I have ...

Hey that's not a bad idea. Good tool to have when you want to weight something heavy. Might have to steal that my self!!

Okay, now I’m confused You already have a QH, but you bought another? I’m feeling a little ignorant here, but wouldn’t changing the QH be counterproductive to the purpose of having one? Is there a problem with the one you have?

You call that a rock? 😂

I like your updated signature. How exciting. You're really going to like that L5460 and I look forward to hearing all about your upgrade as well as seeing lots of photos of it in action.
I'm looking forward to trying it out this weekend. I am also wanting to try out the air ride seat. Should make for a more enjoyable mowing experience.

Heck yea brother!

That'll make for a good Friday right there!

I'm possibly losing mine next week. Ole lady is supposed to holler at them today or tomorrow. A bit nervous if they take a few weeks my grass will be totally out of control.

I'll have to turn the boy loose with the cub cadet LOL. Hmmmmm 46"..... 6 maybe 7ish acres, could be fun LOL.
Hope they get your L turned around quick for you.

I took a spin by the dealership this afternoon. All shined up and they got the tires loaded. It will go back for the lights and third function install when they have a quiet spell. I don't need the lights until winter but I have plans for more trees this fall and will need the third function.

These are the Nokian snow tires. More rugged than turfs. Still would of preferred R14's but apparently they are not available on the Grand L's up here.

Yup, two tractors, two QH's !

While my Kubota Grand L 5030 is CAT 1/2, I'm setting it up as CAT 1, so I can utilize some of my attachments I have for my Massey Ferguson SCUT.

Just order a hydraulic top link for the Kubota too!

These are the Nokian snow tires.
Those are radials I believe, or at least the ones I've seen were, they have great reviews, probably better then R14's for the size of tractor you have them for.

Did my 200 hour maintenance today. Changed oil and filter and changed the HST filter. PITA doing this with the mower deck on but didn’t want to remove it. Comes off easy, PITA getting it back on. Ready for mowing tomorrow.

They are radial tires. I've only seen one negative was they weren't good in mud. However, there was no reason given as to why. Anyone I've spoken to who runs them all spoke positively about them.

I dug all this out with the tractor. Just don't pay attention to the other equipment, they're just there to look pretty.

What a great tractor! (y) Yeah, those rear tires look like they'd be more at home on a truck but no doubt they'll work well.

I'm a fan of the air ride seat that's in my MX and I still need to install the air ride pedestal in the M6060 but will get to it this fall along with the upgraded alternator, rear wiper and rear defrost glass. Part of the delay is that the seat in the M is very comfortable as is, in part due to the improved ride of the bigger tractor over the smaller MX.

By the way, it looks like you have the older style cast iron couplers for the rear remotes, similar or the same to what's on my MX. The MX models have a newer (cheaper) style now it seems.

I'm liking the look of those tires. Bet they are going to do real nice on that grass. I've done a number in a couple areas with mine on them dang r4s.

Our dealer is covered up pretty good this week as well. I actually have one of the techs silverado in today for a/c work. We're definitely waiting until next week, possibly week after that. They're gonna shoot me a text when they're ready to come get her. But they are doing what they can to minimize the down time.

It's been too hot in my book to do much in the woods but I did managed to clear couple blow downs from across wood trails this morning. A small job even for the L3010. I winched out a small fir in two pieces.

P1000604-1.JPG

P1000605.JPG

Then I dragged them to a brush pile just down the trail and added them to it.

P1000608.JPG

The second one was another dead fir. I cut out the section across the trail and hung a snatch block back in the woods to the left beyond the butt end of the tree.

P1000610.JPG

You might be able to see the orange spec (block) near the center of the picture.

P1000611.JPG

Then I winched the cut out section off the trail.

After our cows were sold, we had a variety of steers and horses in our barn.

Always loved horses. Great critters.

Funny thing is parked right beside tbe 5460 is a standard L with R14's... Really?

I hope they are good on the lawn because i mow 11 acres. Had a lot of thron punctures with turfs on my 2610 so I didn't want to go down that path again.

Nice they gave you a heads up on how busy they are. May as well work it instead of it sitting for a couple of weeks.

I haven't looked at a MX. There was one on the other side of the shop. I'll check it out if its still there Friday. Going by memory, I think the 20 series LX have a different style of coupler vs the 10 series.

horses are nicer than most people
Jon - true.

For a while we had few Belgians and Percherons in the barn.

I was young, and they’d look for me each day when I came down to check on them and do chores.

Spent a lot of time with them. They’d complain when I left.

Doesn’t get any sweeter.

Just looked at the girls when I got in the truck to go to the store, between the heat and bloody rain, it might be November before I get to mow again
I think this is the wettest year I can ever remember
