Not sure if this has been posted before. But I got the KBOH rear John Deere tie down hooks and mounted them on the front of the Lx2610 and they fit beautifully. Just had to get some 1/2” hardware.

Thanks for posting this. I found the 5 eleven designs hooks a while back but couldn't come to terms with $150 for two hooks.
I'm going to scout the MX5400 and see where I can find front and rear that would accommodate these hooks.
I'm still baffled that Kubota doesn't provide a single tie down point on any of their lighter duty equipment. From tractors to mowers to RTV's. I guess they assume we'll never move them or take them to the dealer for service.

What is even more surprising is that none of the aftermarket people haven't stamped out tie-down hooks that are drilled for specific machines at a reasonable price. I see a lot of items where it appears that the sellers are trying to get wealthy on every sale, rather than making smaller profits on each item and selling them in volume. Unfortunately, even Kubota operates on this principle. Today I looked up the price of the rear windshield wiper motor on the Messicks website, and it was over $500 for just the motor. You can buy them all day long on eBay, Zoro, and Graingers, for between $100 - $150.

I made a tie down for the front of my Mx by welding a 12,000 pound d ring to a square of 1/2” plate, then drilled a 1/2 hole in the plate above the d-ring. There’s a 1/2 inch hole in the frame on the lower front that I bolted the plate to and also made another 1/2” backer plate for the other side of the frame. That works for the front tie downs. For the back I was originally going to tie to a clevis in the drawbar, but realized that two anchor points are recommended, so I bought two 3’ axle straps to wrap around the rear axle for tie downs.
I welded a couple of weld on hooks to small pieces of 1/4" plate that I drilled to match the 3 holes on each side in front. Then welded the head of the bolts to the plate. (10.9 grade flange bolts and nuts) in back I bolted D ring tie downs to the ROPS where the backhoe subframe would be with some 12.9 grade socket head cap screws I did have to spot face the D ring strap so the head of the bolts fit. Works well and I think it was about $50-60 for all the parts and hardware....

Nice clean install. I couldn't find any for my L2501 so I had to go a different route.

There are tons of points that chains or straps can be run around or through, so I've never found a compelling need for dedicated tie down hooks or loops.
Yes but having a dedicated tie down point is handy for ease of connecting the chains. As well as in the case of the front hooks a chain point for pulling a stuck tractor or other items out for example. Also some folks just want to hold down how many scratches/chipped paint on the frame.....

about $9 from harbor freight. no drilling, they fit perfectly. I put them on both sides and it works well for chaining to trailer.
Yeah 150 is a bit steep. These were under 50 shipped, the shipping was refunded to the actual cost after my purchase, so I was pretty fired up about that. Hardware from tractor supply was an extra $6
These will work too, i personally just don’t like casted parts, as they could break at any time. And i have broken several of these on trucks over the years.

I can't begin to count how much money I have "wasted" by making things for myself.
I usually 'justify it' to the finance committee by saying "well those _________'s are gonna cost $500, so for that kind of money I could invest in a plasma cutter and make them for myself and then have a plasma cutter at the end"

Description on the HF page says these are forged, not cast. Big difference. But, everything breaks at some point!

yeah I’m not sure. But hopefully they will, it’s a cheap easy well needed modification
