Tekton - nearly everything is built in Taiwan or the US, and the price/quality are right.

I’ll 2nd Tekton. I have the 1/4 and 3/8 torque wrenches along with their socket sets.
If you buy through Tekton you get 10% rewards towards the next purchase and free shipping on every order.

I go by feel. 1/2 to 3/4 turn past tight and 1/4 turn before the bolt breaks.

I've actually had a good Tekton as well. Forgot about them.
Torque wrenches are easy to check with nothing more than a vise, measuring tape and a known weight. I use either dumbbells or Olympic plates.

You also need an understsnding of basic physics. That is not universal.

That looks like a GREAT deal!
IMHO it is really necessary to have a torque wrench in inch pounds for lower torques, and one in ft. pounds for higher torques.
Using a 10 - 150 lb torque wrench is not particularly accurate at the lower range, and using an inch lb torque wrench at it's higher range is not particularly accurate either.

Please tell me if you are typing on a phone with autocorrect, or if you really believe that the store has its own police department.

IMHO: You get what you pay for. For my basic home owner use I have an old beam type. It is close enough for the work I do. If I am paying the shop price of over a 100 bucks an hour I expect them to have far higher quality tools with tighter tolerances.
That being said , a really nice set of tools would be more than the resale price of my old B.

Have to jump in and support Tekton tools also. Very good quality considering the price point and I am admittedly a bit of a tool snob.

They also make a bunch of somewhat specialty tools that meet certain needs (I.E. extended length wrenches, etc).

I needed one recently to access some nuts on my Land Cruiser and Tekton had just what I needed. The quality is definitely there and the price....more than reasonable. I haven't seen their whole line of tools....of course, but of those I have seen, all were good.

And a little math. 🤪
Next thing I know theres going to some discussion of how a torque wrench is only reading the actual torque while it is moving (coefficients of kinetic and static friction apparently being different or some such phenomenon). And then I’ll start thinking I have to loosen a fastener and retighten it to really know what torque it’s at vs. like they do at the tire shop with a clicker torque wrench that clicks as soon as they push on it after the air gun has had a go at it.

Alas, we do like to stomp mud holes in seemingly simple inquiries.
