Well, I almost placed the order on the MX-9900 this afternoon, but I stopped because even though shipping is included, it had options for a lift gate or a straight truck delivery. I’m not sure if I need a lift gate since I have pallet forks for my L6060. I’m also not sure what they mean by a ‘straight truck’. No 18-wheeler can make it up my driveway, but I don’t mind pulling it off a truck with the tractor. I tried calling WoodMaxx for more information, but couldn’t reach anyone. I’ll try again tomorrow.

When I ordered my WoodMaxx MX series, the delivery options were: specific date and lift gate. Since the tractor is at our property in north Georgia, I selected specific date (so I would be there). No 18 wheeler could make it up my driveway, too. I selected lift gate; I do not have pallet forks (just never need them, except for this once in 5+ years). The 18 wheeler off loaded the chipper on my driveway at the road, and I picked it up with my tractor's quick hitch (BTW, it was bolted to the pallet).

Do you have any local businesses with a loading dock or forklift that you could have it sent to? Hardware store? Or even a carriers local hub?

Your L6060 with pallet forks will work just fine since the shipping weight is 1,000 lb. A straight truck would mean either a flat bed or enclosed box truck that might be 40ft long. I typically meet the driver at the bottom of my driveway when I have big stuff delivered.

Last time tailgate service was an option on a shipment to my residence, it was $300 extra. I wouldn’t pay $5 extra for tailgate service for a palletized item within the capacity of my loader forks.

If the trucking company’s hub is reasonably close, I prefer picking up at the hub. They’re usually open 24/7 and they’ll usually be glad to load your truck or trailer for you with their forklift. Avoids the drama of a big ass truck in an area not designed for big ass trucks.

Seems to me that when I ordered my 9900 shipping was included (not 'free', there is no such thing as 'free' shipping) in the price, but I honestly do not remember.
Hi Kenny
The shipping is included, but there is an extra fee for the other services lift gate, straight truck, etc).

I ordered the WoodMaxx 9900-SS today. Similar to what others on this forum told me, the salesman said that if I had pallet forks for my L6060, there really was no need for lift gate service. He said the driver would bring the pallet to the back of the truck and I could unload it from there.

I will post some pictures once it arrives. The salesman did tell me they would knock off $200 if you pick it up at their store near Buffalo NY. That would be about a 500 mi round trip for me and with diesel near $6 a gallon now, and the fact that it would take a full day, that didn’t make sense to me. I will post pictures when it arrives.

This will be my first time using the PTO, so will definitely need some help from the experts here on how to get it attached and how to use it, once it gets here. I also have to get the BH92 off the tractor, which seems a bit daunting.

Why did you order the Skid Steer version?
Not only does it cost a hell of a lot more, it won't work on your tractor. You need the PTO version:

That was a typo on my part (though my heart stopped when I read your post.) I ordered the MX-9900 PTO version, not the -SS.

+1.

I “always” wear mine when chipping. Except about a month ago when I was almost done, stopped and took it off to answer a phone call, then failed to put it back on to finish the last few limbs. One of the limbs kicked left instead of the usual kick to the right so I finished the job with one contact lens missing and a scratched cornea. Stupid hurts…

Just ordered the Woodland Mills TF810 PRO wood chipper. Can't wait to try it! Got plenty of material to process...

Nice! Out of interest, does your L6060 have the load leveling feature on the loader? Just wondering if it's an option on the L6060 or standard, or not available.
I not sure. How can I tell and what does that do? It has the float feature (works same as the B2601 I had).

I ask since my friends L47TLB has the same HST Plus transmission as the L60 tractors and there are fancier features available with those. On his tractor there's the option to turn on/off the load leveling feature which when on will keep the load level as the loader is raised or lowered (name makes sense right?). This is a useful feature when using pallet forks if you don't want the load to topple back as the forks are raised. Most of us do this manually as we raise the load by tilting the forks downward to keep the load level.

Here's the on/off lever on my friend's L47. The drawing below is a little confusing at first but once you know what it's trying to convey it makes more sense.
