I might have to do some trickery picking up my BB next week and squeezing it on my 14' w... just when I thought I had the perfect trailer eh!
It has never been said: " I sure wish I had bought a smaller trailer"

nothing wrong with having your loader over the front rail, or over top of the BB. not sure of your rules, but up here items can stick off the back of a trailer, they just need to be flagged. you wouldnt have much of your BB sticking off the back.
Only downfall is with my ramp on the trailer is a bit of a process to remove.. I'll probably have to just front load it a bit more and overhang the loader bucket. But, to be honest I don't really see a reason to haul the tractor to and from very often other than to the lake here and there to tune up the driveways.

This is what I have. Just purchased. 18' (16' +2') 9990 GVW. Unladen weight of 1450 lbs. Did have the BX on the trailer but had removed it before snapping pictures. Amble room and pulls great. I know it is overkill for my BX however should I decide to purchase a larger tractor, I am sure to be covered. I can haul close to 8,500 lbs. if needed. I went with aluminum to save weight and rusting. The ONLY downside I have found out so far is that I have to wear sunglasses on sunny days. Added pictures with tractor on trailer. Need to find a nice aluminum storage box for my tie downs, etc...
Nice trailer!!

I wonder if it's ever been said "I wish I'd bought a goose neck trailer". If I didn't have a Snug Top and Decked drawer system on my F250 I would probably go that route, particularly when towing the MX or M. As it is, I invested in a Curt load leveling system.

I've never pulled a goose neck trailer but it wouldn't surprise me if it's one of those things that once you've tried it you don't want to go back to a bumper/frame pull.

A 5er is amazing to tow.

Is a 5th wheel and improvement over a goose neck even? I have no experience with either.

gooseneck is a specific type of 5th wheel. not all 5ers are a gooseneck. its the weight being over the axle and not behind the axle that make the towing better. also, if your good at backing up, you can put them into much tighter spots (just watch those rear pillars on the cab lol)

When I was hauling for a large rental company in Georgia, DOT told us you are allowed 3' off the back before it needs flagged. It may vary state to state.

You are SO right!
I once had a goose neck trailer, and there is no better design.
I absolutely DO miss my goose neck!

Looks like you did OK as long was your trailer's GVW's are sufficient for your tractor.
I purchased the LX over other tractors because it's pretty lightweight [even with ballast] and travels easily. I would have gone open station to lighten it a little but everything on the water stinks, stings, bites or, if lacking biological weaponry, flies directly into your eyes, ears, mouth or nose.

This morning a few miles south of Sheridan, WY with the new M6060 on the MidSota 22' equipment trailer before heading 600 miles back to NW Montana. I had two seperate "meetings" with Kubota enthusiasts during the midpoint fuel stop. 600 miles, four mountain passes and lots and lots of hills.

Not this week!

I bought a Sherline tongue weight scale from a member here last year and used it this weekend to measure the empty trailer tongue weight and then to get the M6060 positioned "optimally". It's really quick and easy to use and takes much of the guesswork out of loading a trailer.

The empty trailer tows very well and has a tongue weight of about 13.5%. I set up the M6060 to give a tongue weight of about 12.5% and probably could have moved the tractor forward a couple more inches to get closer to 13.5%.

Empty.

Time to give that truck a rest and put that tractor to work.

That scale would be handy. That's a load equalizing hitch, isn't it? I had an original Jeep Cherokee. It was rated for more than it should have been. With the equalizing hitch and electric brakes, I pulled a Camaro on a 16' dove trailer several times. Made all the difference.

Glad you made it without too much trouble.

Some pictures of our L3901 getting ready for her 50 hour service and then cleaned up by the dealer waiting to go back to home. We have property on a local lake about 45 miles away. The bushhog is a bit much for the neighborhood yard.

Ha! Yes, thanks again for selling it to me. It's an invaluable tool that takes the guess work out of towing. Tongue weight is a serious safety issue.
