I was going to guess Kingfisher. 😂 Might explain why my aunt didn't get her money's worth out of paying for my membership to the Young Ornithologist Club!

One of my Blinks caught this Kitty with a young one yesterday morning just before dawn. The other camera caught her with two young ones. They're coming from the direction of my across-the-road neighbor, I hope she's not introducing them to the chickens. I've also caught shots of squirrels and rabbits, so maybe they're after them.

Went back to Wakodahatchee Wetlands for another shoot. When this wood stork takes off it sounds like a Huey.

That’s definitely a fellow. Ring necked Pheasant cock bird.

Don’t know much about PEI, but doubting there’s an indigenous population there?

He’s got some long tail feathers of a wild bird.

Often stock birds are identified with short tail feathers due to cage raising, etc. But a stock bird would have been released 6-8 months ago or so.

We used to have sustained populations in central New York decades ago, but dwindled as farms decreased.

Do occasionally see them still, but typically are stocked birds. Don’t make it through the winter usually.

This pair has been around for 2-3 years. I see one here and there on my travels but they don't seem to be common. I was surprised to see it up in the feeder.

He looks great - with all the snow maybe he was just having trouble finding some food - your food looked good!

Laying down in the weeds, they think they're well camouflaged...

Nice mule deer! :) Not sure about hunting in Nevada i.e. when is bow or rifle season? Just wondering if these guys know when the season starts.

Stopped at Butterfly World, Coconut Creek, FL, to spend a couple of hours. A macro lens would have been useful but ya shoot with what ya got.

Season was over with and I'm sure they knew it and were comfortable watching me take their picture. In Nevada bow season is in August. Black powder is September, and rifle starts the first weekend in October.

Unsuccessful dive! This Osprey came up short on a dive into the water at Wakodahatchee Wetlands.

Found a little time to share some of my recent trail cam footage. Got some hunting action, before, during, and after...
