My wife and I were eating brats and enjoying the firepit when this eagle flies up the edge of the field and lands in one of the big oaks about 60 feet from us. It paid no attention to us as we conversed and even got up to take a couple of pics.

My friend sent me a heads-up this afternoon to be on the lookout for "Comet A3". Before I had time to look it up, my wife sent me this pic from SC.

Supposed to get easier to see in coming days. Locate it live using Stellarium app (free) and search for "Tsuchinshan."

Sigma 150-600mm. I've always wanted a Canon EF 600 but just can't justify it with my limited talent, plus the Minster of Finance would beat me silly.
