You live in a country where you can't shoot a jogger ??? That's sad. Not much freedom there.
As far as the wild hogs I see the story on nightly news. But it's in the west of Canada and the US. Would take a long time before they ever made it to Quebec or Nova Scotia.
But since they "might" another good reason to do some Ammo shopping at Midway USA!!!!

Just what Montana needs. They already have their hands full with prairie dogs and ground squirrels. I’ve got a thermal for my AR that might get some use now. Heading out there again next spring.

I’m kind of conflicted on the hog issue. They’re very destructive, at least those we have in some parts of NC are. But deer hunting this morning is so dead I’m reading OTT. Right now I wouldn’t mind seeing a pig and inviting it to dinner with a 160 grain invitation it can’t refuse.

Don’t worry no shortage of guns around my part of Canada.
Perhaps, Pierre Elliot (AKA Clown Boy) will soon be threatening to jail you, (like the truckers) if you do not surrender your guns to him.

And they don’t even make a dent in the wild hog population. We had them in SE NM coming from TX. Game and Fish wiped them out with helicopter gunning and bounties for anyone who shot them. If you can’t do total population destruction, then it’s a permanent pest control problem.
In TX, the hogs will bed down in the US National parks and reserves; and the Federal gov won't let the hunters pursue and hunt -- even though the hogs are listed as an invasive species. Hogs wander into private property to feed and retreat to the safety of Federal land. Such a cluster duck.

At least you CAN do something about the invaders from the Great White North unlike the hordes from the South.....

You can hunt on National Forest lands, not National Parks or most National Game Preserves. The percentage of federal land in Texas is very small compared to most western states.

Edit: those rules were established by Congress.

Isn't the 450 similar to the 45/70...?
Yes that would be a exploding hog.
The bullet diameter is the same, but nothing else. The 450 is an "elephant" gun.

If you want your shoulder to hurt, without doing anything, watch some "elephant guns" being shot on YouTube.

Would enjoy a pig hunt. If they ever advertise some kind of money, my AR and thermal ready to go.

Saw some you tube videos of folks down south baiting those pesky mothers. They would put food out next to 100 lbs of tannerite and wait. Once a large group of pigs started eating, BOOM.
