That’s what I thought to, well was hoping anyway. Once they looked everything up, they’d see parts are back ordered.

I still haven’t heard back from my dealer… I’ll call again tomorrow.
Well from my first conversations with them to the text, when they realized something was actually back ordered they said it may be a little bit and that,”Yes absolutely please check in. Once it gets in the system I will be able to put in an order status check and give you a better idea.”

I am not sure what their system is or anything on the process, but I left i would check back in a few weeks if I have not heard from them. They agreed that was fine. I don’t want to pester so I wanted to set a time to check back. I am sure they are busy.

Can you keep me posted? I also bought my tractor in 2021. I’m traveling now, but will check with the dealer next week. Did they process the order as a warranty claim? Recall?

Good day.

Sure, I will share updates as info from dealer changes.

Regarding order processing…I did not ask that specific question but they said it would be covered under warranty. But I really don’t know how they process the order, if that makes sense. They did say that my unit (based on serial number) was included in the range of units in the campaign. (They were able to look that up from the serial number).

I’d recommend have your serial number (pic) and also a pic of you dash with number of hours on machine handy… unless the dealer you are contacting already has it (I would think they would want to verify the machine working on is yours to submit for warranty…I don’t know that but that is my guess)

They also mentioned there is some time sensitivity to the warrantee coverage which is from date of purchase (if I remember correctly). They encouraged me do so quickly since my time to purchase date is almost up.

For TSB work, do you need to have the problem show up or is it a case of "the squeaky wheel gets the grease"?

What makes the sensor show “water in seperator” ? How does the vibration make it go off?

The brace seems to simply eliminate the vibration of the housing. I assume the braces are the least expensive option for Kubota but there are probably other methods to stabilize the housing that could be implemented by getting some metal involved to support points.

I don’t really know how that process works. I explained what had happened/situation/symptom same as what was in my first post. They said they wanted to look up serial number and see my warranty timing and if any service campaigns for my machine.

That's another good question. Water in fuel sensors typically work by sensing a change in conductivity, so perhaps the vibration of diesel around the sensor, and the possible cavitation around the sensor, is enough to change the conductivity.

I took a photo or two of the water separator in the M6060 and it's held in place by one bolt that connects to a thick steel bracket. The TSB that @whitetiger posted only refers to MX tractors, but I would have thought that the L60 tractors with the same V2400 engine would be included.

In my case, it was happening intermittently. Called dealer and told them, got a new fuel bowl and sensor under warranty, installed it. Few weeks/months go by started happening again, lived with it. Then I read about this TSB, called dealer and gave them the TSB number, told him I had already replaced bowl and symptoms were still present. Made a ticket for a bracket, now we are waiting.

@jyoutz I'd go ahead and call your dealer and get a ticket started. Once that happens, it doesn't matter if you go over warranty period, as you are waiting on parts. I just got off phone with my dealer and that is what he told me, my tractor was purchased early in 2021 by the original owner. I purchased from him May '21.

It's hard to imagine that @jyoutz wouldn't be able to get the parts before December 1, 2026. 😂
