Changes like that are best left to a pump shop thay can flow the pump amd make sure all cylinder are pumping the same. Doest take much to screw something like that up.
Unless your going for some extreme power upgrades swapping the plungers and barrels isn't nessisary. And with the same point I made as above you don't really know if the new parts are putting out the same cc of fuel as each other. Hence why there are shims.

Sorry to reply to an old thread but looking for help. I have a L2600DT with the D1403 in it. My tractor is rated for 26 HP but the L3000 is rated for 35 with the same block. Is it safe to assume the only difference is the timing adjustment and fuel? I'd make the mod if I felt safe implementing.
