Not sure if this is in correct area, if not please move.
I took my L3410 transmission with axle trumpets in for repair (whole rear end minus the tires), because I did not have the time at the time to replace a failed bearing. I was given a 1 week time line to finish repair and have it back to me, that was three months ago on 4-2-19 and every time I call they promise it will be done by the end of the week. I went and paid them a visit on Friday 7-5-19 and the internal bearing was switched out and all that was left was to put the axle trumpets on and some exterior parts, and again was promised it would be done first thing Saturday morning. I show up Saturday 7-6-19 to pick it up and it is still not done. I was told by service manager that is will be done without a doubt Monday 7-8-19. Well guess what today is 7-8-19 and it is still not done and now I am being told it wont be done until the end of the week on 7-13-19. I am tired of the run around and I am more than mechanically inclined to make the repair myself but did not have the time to do it 3 months ago.
My question is can I pick it up as is and finish the repair myself not sure if I have to wait on them to finish it? If so should Kubota dealership discount the bill to do the repair which is now at 80% complete? Either way I will not be using this dealership for ANYTHING in the future. I am beyond frustrated and do not know what to do as I have never been in a situation like this before. Any advice will be helpful! Thanks in advance.
