PLACE two and only two of those tires on the ground....then you will understand....They really do have 4-wheel drive. If you lifted a tractor so all 4 wheels were off the ground, engaged 4x4, and put the tractor into gear (or pressed the forward HST pedal)...all four wheels would be spinning. The action of the differential is what causes loss of traction when on surfaces of unequal grip.
yes ALL 4 WHEELS are driven.......but not ALL FOUR wheels can and will do work! Depending on the friction, one will always move faster/slower than the other side!
4 wheel drive and ALL wheels working no matter what are two entirely different situations!
any tires can be spun by the system - but once ONE tire is free, it will spin until friction is applied to it externally.
