Be careful when following the Masses, sometimes the M is silent!

I like my old Craftsman wrench better, inch on one side
then simply flip it over for metric.

Most boomers would know what that is because very many boomers have served in the armed forces and they know the phonic alphabet. Those that have not served in law enforcement or the military most likely don;t know it.
Thinking about it, I have to laugh, independent of the thread title, but true.

I am a vet and during my four years I did spend a year in South East Asia in '67/68....but I never learned to Tango...one of my weaknesses in life. Dancing not part of my nature...

So what you're telling me is you can only tighten barbaric bolts and nuts and can only loosen metric bolts and nuts? I hope you have the left handed equivalent...

And don't anybody start saying it's supposed to be the other way around! I am 100% positive, and everybody else should know, that the orientation on the top is for righty tighty and the orientation on the bottom is for lefty loosey! If you say otherwise, you are dead wrong! Yes, I'll sometimes flip it in order to get into spaces that it wouldn't work in otherwise, but that doesn't change the fact that it is the way I've laid it out!

I don't think anybody was telling you anything. It is the "Daily Chuckle" thread by the way~

Theory and practicality are two different things...but on top of that, in this thread both are often left at the sidelines...:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

It all depends on which side of the equator you are on. An Australian adjustable wrench will be marked opposite of the United States model. 🙃
