Nice. Do you plan on leaving it on full time or is it “easy” to remove?

The cab is fairly simple to remove. The doors and back panel can be removed in less than a minute. The front is a little more involved to remove so I may leave it on year round.
The wheel weights are actually a set I made years ago for one of my old Cub Cadet garden tractors. I bought a couple sets of the factory weights for the Cub, so I painted these orange and put them on the Kubota. They’re 50 lbs each.

The insulation seems to have made life a little more bearable inside the cab. I think the top was reverberating and reflecting sound and the 1-1/2” of foam board has tamed it some. I’ve added some foam rubber in a few other places to seal up air leaks.
I had added magnetic latches to the back panel to hold it in place until the inside latches were secured. They worked fine until the windows and gaskets were added which added enough weight that the magnets weren’t strong enough. I found a rubber Jeep hood style hasp that I added to the top of the back panel.

Every winter, i dream of having a cab on my BX23s. Cold is really starting to get to my old bones out there.

Carhart insulated bibs and coat with a leather and sheepskin avaitor cap and you will sweat in sub zero weather. Just need a face shield with a window wiper!
A couple more improvements for the cab. A new seat to replace the horrible, sloped factory seat and some plastic filler panels under the seat to seal off some holes. I also bent the loader joystick a little to the left so I don’t hit the window when dumping the bucket.
I got to try out the cab last weekend for a little bit to clear snowdrifts from in front of the garage doors. It didn’t run long enough to heat up the cab but it was definitely nice being out of the -20F windchill.

I pulled the cab off a few weeks ago and tonight I moved it to the barn for storage until next winter. To get it out of the way, I screwed and lagged some 2x4s to the wall to set the pieces up on and held them there with a ratchet strap.

Thank you. It was definitely worth the work. Working in sub zero wind chill temperatures sucks. Now, I will stay warm and cozy.
