Cant seem to pin point it sound familiar to anyone? Have a video but dont know how to post it. The noise follows the speed of engine
Story on tractor was it needed a new motor radiator was leaking etc and it wouldn’t run at all I got it and found what smelled like gas in the tank I changed all filters oil etc and seen no metal in oil filter put some fresh fuel and atf in tank and I think it was gas in the tank why it wouldn’t crank but I got it going seems fine other then the tick I’ve never heard a d902 before so idk if it was normal or notIs it the baffles in the muffler?
Extra lubricity since the gas would had been extra harshCurious....WHY would you put ATF in the diesel fuel tank ??
I did that changed nothing does it matter that rocker arm moves like that? None of the others doDo an adjustment per the WSM on all the valves
I don’t think you would hear a rod knock under crank power. The starter is keeping it at a steady speed so nothing would be able to knock really. If it has a rod knock I should be able to hear it just spinning motor over? Or no. Thought about pulling injection pump to check rollers and springs
Move the injector and see if the noise follows it.I did the old mechanics trick a searched around with a piece of wood and it’s coming from cyl3 but noise is much louder on the head and not the crankcase itself Also did the injector lines and the one for cyl 3 gave off a different noise then 1 and 2 Should I pull injector and move it to different cylinder and try that and if not check injector pump
Moved injector noise didn’t follow still sounds higher on engine near head idk how to rule out that the rocker arm is causing itMove the injector and see if the noise follows it.
