They're the same chassis, hydraulics and drivetrain, just a smaller engine driving it all. Unlike the bx 70 and 60 series that had different frame and components for the 18hp models. The 1880,2380 and 2680 now all share components.
Lets hope your right.

I have a 2022 BX1880, I upgraded to bx2380 wheels and tires brand new from the dealership for 650CAD ( 453USD). The fit is perfect, 0 issues as all the BX 80 series use the same frame.

See pictures for size comparison.
in case anyone is wondering what the bx1880 looks like with BX2380/2680 wheels. No rubbing, clearance issues but better ride quality for sure. This is with the 48” MMM.

How did this affect the cutting height of the deck?

it sits about an inch higher so I presume instead of cutting on 3.5 I will have to bring it down 2.5 instead. Its winter here so no mowing currently but will update this in the spring time. I think there are mower height adjustments I can make but havent looked into it yet.

I do like the Beefier look of it with the bigger tires.

Taller tires = better land speed, but also lower torque.
And with that unit having less HP available then the tractor that the tires are designed to run on.

If your using it for snow duties I would be curious if the torque is as good?

I have a 50” blower on the back and have blown 7-9” with no problem. I always use L gear for plowing or snowblower work and so far 0 issues.

If there is bigger snow that mine cant handle, il use our TYM T25.
