I broke a Zerk Fitting on the Ujoint for my L2195 Snow Blower
What is the best way to remove the Zerk Fitting and replace it?

6pt socket or if all else fails, a pair of vise-grips. Should be lefty-losey unless its a press in style.Only the grease nipple broke off, the hex head is still intact
Easy. Unscrew it and put a new one in. The little nipple’s thread will be fouled up within the body. Don’t try to replace just the nipple.Only the grease nipple broke off, the hex head is still intact
Broken zerk fittings are easy to get out since the hole's already there for a screw extractor.I've been searching six months for utubes showing how to remove broke zerks from tie rods. Will the same method(s) work?
Yeah, and they're seldom rusted in, either.Broken zerk fittings are easy to get out since the hole's already there for a screw extractor.
[/QUOTE]Haven't seen one of those tools in a few decades. They used to sell for a couple of dollars in the old days. I would bet that if I searched in my old toolbox I might even have one.
I almost always check reviews of tools and look at the lowest stars first. Most times it is some lame reason that the person gave it a 1 star, however, this is the exception.
