We do not need to care if the OP receives a benefit, just as long as someone might!
Ditch Witch came up with a simple solution to locking the bucket from swinging when not in use. They have a chain hook welded to each side of the boom. On each outrigger a chain is welded about 1/3rd the distance up from the foot. When the outrigger is up put the chain in the hook. Every thing stays in place and no chance of any damage by accident. Both chains easily reached from the seat on the hoe when done.

I tend to agree. Then again, I've noticed that seems to be the norm from most.
I've often replied, then deleted my response afterwards.
Bought the M59 backhoe separately, used, missing swing lock pin. Made one from scrap pile parts. Handle length sufficiently long enough to easily reach from operator station.

Don’t use the swing lock pin much except for road transport or trailering. Hillside farm always swinging to the up hill side for balance.
Use the boom lock often. Have to lower the boom to get through the tractor shed doors with M59. Then raise then lock once inside so if the boom drops doesn’t hit the closed door. Again when moving out of the tractor shed. Hopefully memory keeps me out of trouble.

Put a note on the steering wheel "Remove Pin Before Moving Tractor". Keep the note on the inside of the garage door so you see it before leaving the garage and remember to put it back on the steering wheel when the tractor returns to the garage.
I habitually put my car key in my jacket pocket so I wouldn't forget my jacket when going to dinner. That worked well until one day someone took my jacket either by mistake or deliberately. Good thing that I had a spare under the seat and the keyless entry gave me entrance to the car.
