Has anyone converted there 4pt pin style loader to a mini skid steer Quick Connect attachment on their 7100 or 7200? (not the full size conversion as that won't work on these small kubotas. It hangs the implement out to far.) I have not seen it done and want to know why it couldn't or shouldn't be. With the smaller mount you can keep it close to the pivots not losing much lift capacity. There are a plethora of attachments for the miniskid that I think would be the perfect size for my small B7200. Mainly just want the quick connect for bucket and forks to start with. My bucket is shot and I want to use the brackets to make the miniskid quick connect. Then I have access to all the cheaper implements out there. Including a new or used bucket.
Any issues that may outweigh the good with using these small miniskid implements on this FEL?
I have not seen any conversion hook ups or kits online for what I'm proposing here.

I have converted several B7100's to SSQA the are not out any further than my L.
Lift was as good as it should be.
You can get a lot more SSQA buckets for cheaper than you can mini's.
But to each their own have at it, will still beat the snot out of a pin on bucket.

Agree. Pin bucket has got to go!
China implements look fairly priced, i know not maybe as heavy duty but I would think they could hold up to my b7200 abuse. Lotta stuff to hook up with mini attachments more in line for the b7200 . I'm thinking hard to wreck the tractor with too small of bucket say than one too big u shouldnt be using like u could get with a ssqa. For example, minis have grapples more in line size wise (i think)to the b series. with the mounts being well within the loader arms, fabricating a nice tight pivot for mini attachments to get full load weight lift potential should b doable. Im workin on it

I think you are overestimating the thickness of a SSQA system. There's not much difference unless you are putting an adapter on a pin-on attachment. Here's my B7100 with full size SSQA bucket:

I have all the brackets. So far havent heard any convincing/show stopping reasons not to try the mini skid attachment. I was going to try and modify some regular weld on ssqa i bought for another project to make the mini skid attachment. I could still go regular ssqa though seeing other success stories on that. Still think the mini attachments are more size appropriate. But i have no experience with any so theres that lol

If you decide on the mini mount, I would suggest the Toro Dingo/Vermeer mount over the Bobcat or ASV/Terex. The Dingo mount has a vast selection of attachments from many manufactures.

I'm not trying to convince you one way or the other. That said, the SSQA standard is about 44" wide (32-3/8" CtC pin spacing) x 16" tall. Easily within the framework of a B7200. The Mini Universal standard is only 24" wide (14-1/2" CtC pin spacing) x 9.2" tall. The attachment points would have to be spaced well inboard of the arms of any loader that would fit a B7200.

How far beyond the pins any style QA system protrude is a function of loader design, not attachment type. I can't see there being any significant reduction between SSQA and the Mini Universal. Both are bound to stick out an extra 2" or so compared to pin-on -- but trust me, ANY QA system is better than pin on and well worth the 2" difference if you plan to switch attachments on any regular basis.

Obviously there are many SSQA attachments that are too big and too heavy for a B7200. But virtually anything is available in the SSQA format these days. The Mini Universal is far less common and could really limit your options.

And if you are into fabrication, you can make what you want in a suitable weight and strength. The bucket and forks pictured above were self-fabricated. You are only limited by your imagination (and materials budget!)

Thats some cool stuff you have made there!! Nice work! I do like/enjoy the fab process. Im going to try the mini skid route first. There is already an over abundance/flood of mini skid attachments on the market. I only see used stuff getting cheaper on market place. I have to point out i already have two full size loaders with ssqa for heavy duty or regular work and attachments. I want the options of mini skid stuff, i have not seen it done and im guessing there may be a reason why not.
if this sucks ill make the other one and move on

Good point about the width of the mini. That completely slipped my mind. Or I was thinking the loader was much smaller on the tractor… Either way, oops!

In the last 5 yrs or so miniskid attachments have exploded. I have seen no shortage or anything better on a full size skid attachment that couldnt b found in a mini. And im not talkin about high flow or medium flow attachments because i cant use those anyway. The few out there that are actually useful for jobs i do they have. Bucket, forks, grapple, post hole digger, 4 in one bucket and a couple others i may want to use in the future. And they will be cheaper than full size attacments. They typically are now because they arent as heavy duty. Thats what im thinkin anyway. I keep getting told i overthink everything lol
