Can't speak for tea and milk, but I am 100% sure you are right about powered front angle adjustment.

Last summer I DIY'ed a rear hydraulic top link and front third function with MUCH edumacation from Dan. It turned out great and being able to adjust the rear blade or box blade on the fly was transformational. I have been waiting to add a front blade and/or grapple to test out that third function.

Looks like I may be adding a cushion valve - again thanks to Dan. I like what I am reading so far about it.

That hasn't been my experience at all. I've had zero issues with any hydraulic cylinders on multiple pieces of equipment from Kubota and Land Pride, and I'm talking a lot of cylinders and a lot of use. If you want to talk about crappy, leaking, unreliable pieces of junk that come from the factory on Kubota products, then look no further than the Faster couplings. They're utter garbage and a disgrace. The six rear remote couplings that came on the MX are excellent, but they're not Faster.

OK ... rant over! 😂
And here I just bought another dozen Faster & Stucchi Flat Face Quick Couplers over the Black Friday weekend....maybe I should buy another 5 gallons of UDT2 just in case?

Just for archival purposes in case someone else comes along in the future looking for info on this commonly used Kubota cylinder... the attached is the B2671 kit diagram and here are the specs.

One of my local dealers responded and sent it to me. They want the same $713 that Messicks wants and this appears - from the post above - to be the Whole Goods cost
This cylinder is used on many Kubota pieces of equipment for multiple purposes.

I had a delay in the start of my workday so I went online to my two closest dealers and emailed them for more info on the B2671 conversion kit. They aren't open yet but we'll see what they say.

Dan other than the cylinder, it is really just a pin on each end to secure the cylinder, two hoses, and the QC fittings. I have had great results with using DiscountHydraulicHose.com to economically source the bits and pieces to connect it all. I doubt it would be several hundred $$$.

BAP - I am not familiar with what Whole Goods is in relation to getting parts - can you explain how it works and what it is?
Whole Goods are sold through the Sales Department only. They are either accessories or complete items put together of several small items. Example would be the complete Angle kit for this plow that includes everything, cylinder, hoses, couplings and so on. Another example would be rims with tires already mounted. It is usually cheaper because it is a package deal versus individual items purchased separately.

OEM retracted is 13", my 1st choice(off the shelf, local) is 14" so it'd work fine,it just won't go one as far.considering it's snow plow and not a precision tool, not a big deal.
Lets do a little simple arithmetic. The OEM cylinder has a 6.5" stroke giving 3.25" travel each direction. A 1" longer cylinder with 6" stroke only allows for 2" travel to the left. That is a 38% (1.25/3.25) loss of angling to the left. It adds up quick.

I have been quoted around $50 to ship the B2671 conversion kit to me by more than one dealer. I thought I could beat that by seeing about ordering it through my local dealer and picking it up since they are all pretty much charging the Whole Goods price anyway. Nope... even my local dealer wants to charge me shipping as they claim Kubota charges them to ship it out. And this was after I told them that I did not need it fast and could wait until Kubota could put it into another order already coming to the shop.

I am not so naive as to think shipping is not a cost burden to manufacturers and retailers. I was maybe just kinda hoping that my local dealer would love the business in the face of the undoubtedly stiff online competition they face. Especially so when the customer says - "Hey, take your time and include it in some other Orange order coming your way."

I got the B2672 front blade carted out to the farm yesterday and all hooked up.

I did all the measuring and calculating for the addition of hydraulics and with a close match on retracted/extended lengths and stroke on a Magister cylinder, I am thinking I can get this done for under $300 DIY style.

Wecwill be waiting for updates.

You inspired me - I started working on hydraulic angle for a 3pt blade....

If I had another rear remote, I'd seriously consider the same. My rear hydraulic top link was a game changer. Changing the horizontal angle too would be really nice.

Magister got back to me with answers to all my questions on that cylinder so I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger. Orders were placed. now, I wait...

The cylinder from magister is $132 and the hoses and fittings from DHH are $110. I will still need some 3/4-to-7/8 bushings for the blade-side pin, but these are under $20 at Amazon. I got two long 3/4in diameter steel pins at Tractor Supply yesterday for $25.

So for right under $300, I should have front hydraulics added to this B2672 blade plus I'll have fun with my metal fab and welding tools in the process. I will document and post a bit of the process here when I am done in case others later on are searching the forum to find a similar solution.

Me too - that working loop is a little tight.
I wish someone would have told me that about my top link plumbing, I learned the hard way when it kept working loose and leaking (different from this plow situation). Replacement Top Link hoses just came in so those will go on shortly with the replacement for the Summit DPOCV for the side link (what a mess that "kit" has all been).

Looks good - all off the shelf parts.. I would have thought more like 30 minutes. What size cylinder?
Ha. I could have gone faster but I was going slow, measuring twice, and decidedly overthinking it all. But that's how I roll

Cylinder linked below. As stated earlier in this thread, its not an exact match but it is real close. Different rod ends forced some customization but it all worked out.

Hoses are not too tight as to allow full right/left motion with still some excess slack. I suspect the location of the ports on my cylinder and the 90deg swivel fittings allowed for simpler hose routing. Ill keep an eye on it and lengthen if needed.

To be honest... I get little snow here. The tractor and implements reside at a rural property we will retire to in the near future. So I would not even have to plow if it snowed. That may change when we live here fulltime but for now, I fell into a screaming deal on a pristine front blade that in turn provided me a fun project that made the blade even more useful.
