Other day went by a used car/truck place.

There was an 2008-2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 out front with $24k in the window. I think extended cab 4x4. Short box (6.5').

Looked good from the road, but guessing lot of miles. Any older than 7 years, they start to rust out big-time in the Northeast.

That's a pretty strong asking price for a truck that was $35-40k new 8-13 years ago......

I checked with our used car department, they will buy my wife’s car for close to what we paid for it new. A 2019 with 37,000 miles. Its tempting lol but she really likes it and our dealer has dropped the brand since we bought it.

Simply buy new and enjoy all the perks that come with it. Buying used is never the best plan. You will be money ahead in the long run.....and that's what buying is all about.. Bought used and cheap, and learned a lesson....just trying to help the folks without a life lesson.

I simply bought a new in stock Kubota 3 months and one week ago, I still have squat, but today they said the correct parts are there and they will not voluntary refund the money. So much for the buying new plan perks.

Sounds like you have a bad attitude. Life is a lot of rolls with the punches. Covid created a lot of situations nobody expected....why would they do anything other than deliver your item as soon as possible.... Kubota is top notch and you need a little patience in my opinion.
Don't assume problems that can't be controlled are a Companies problem.

They did delivery it but it was no good, nothing about attitude, it is about very bad quality and incompetence. And thank you for your lesson in life.

Buying used is never the best plan.

Um, I disagree. I wanted a loader and backhoe to play with on my hobby tree farm. Found a well-used L35 for $14k. No way I'd pay $40+ for a new L47. Sure, I've had to make some repairs, maybe $2k plus my labor, but the drive-train seems sound. I've made trail, cleaned out ditches, hauled more loads of saplings to the dump than I'd like to admit, etc.
No, if I were in business needing to keep schedule and all that, this would not be the way to go. But for occasional use, I couldn't justify new.

Things seem to be improving a little up here. The local dealer has a few cabbed and open station tractors, a skid steer and a utility vehicle out front. By far the most inventory I've seen on display in months. I hope my MX shows up soon.
