    New LX2610 hood latch adjustment?

I have to push ours down and also turn the latch to lock the hood down. I hadn't appreciated the need to turn the latch until a day or two ago--not a big deal. Maybe the hood will self-latch when the gasket gets a little thinner over time.

    Thanks. That makes sense.

    LX2610 glow plug timing discrepancy.

I think ours just has the glow plug heating light on when you hold the switch to that position. I don't think there is anything designed to monitor the plugs' temperature. I'll double check. My assumption is that when the 'heating' lamp is on they are being heated, otherwise they aren't, but...

    LX2610 glow plug timing discrepancy.

Am I right that once the tractor has started and is running the glow plugs are completely out of the picture. They get juice only for pre-heating prior to starting and at no other time?

    New LX2610 hood latch adjustment?

I practically have to slam down the hood to get it to latch. I've greaed everything and it helps only a little if I hold the latch open. I'm not seeing any adjustment to make it latch easier. Am I missing something?

    LX2610 glow plug timing discrepancy.

Several of us drive our LX2610. I hit the glow plugs for a few seconds at just above freezing when starting, as stipulated in the manual. One of us says the dealer said to heat them for up to a minute. A few seconds works for me, and a minute seems too long. Can the glow plugs be damaged if...

    Best clevis pin retaining method?

Never seen those pins with the extra bend in them. Interesting.

    Best clevis pin retaining method?

Do you mean the round ones, are you referring to both styles--round and D shaped? For no good reason I kinda like the D style, but I'm not about to go out and replace what I have.

Thanks. I might start using a safety wire as well.

    Best clevis pin retaining method?

Our LX2610/FEL/snowblower has a lot of 'pins', from small to large. They are retained by cotter pins or bigger pins with two types of spring retaining mechanism. Is the full circle retaining ring better that the D shaped ones?

    Anyone know what this is?

Hmm...maybe. I'll check with those who run our chainsaws.

    Anyone know what this is?

It's about 15" across (see the tape measure in the photo) It is a single sheet of material. The fact that it is the color it is and that it was near our new snowblower might just be a coincidence.

    Anyone know what this is?

I was prepping our LX2980 snowblower for the winter and found this near it. It's thin vinyl. Thanks LX2610 owner

LA535 lift capacity at front lip?

Thanks. Good tip if I have to lift something heavier than our blower and I want to increase the lift capacity.

LA535 lift capacity at front lip?

"It either does or doesn't " Ah, yes. I forgot the tractor has some hydraulics overload protection, not that I want to run too frequently or for too long near that limit.

LA535 lift capacity at front lip?

I need to pick up our snowblower and move it around from time to time. I've used chains over the loader arms and in other configurations. I don't want to bend the bucket edge, so I have avoided chains hooked simply to the cutting edge. But I was curious. I do have longer chains that are...
