It's about 15" across (see the tape measure in the photo) It is a single sheet of material. The fact that it is the color it is and that it was near our new snowblower might just be a coincidence.

PTO cover, protective gong cover for hunting season so that it doesn't get shot, ..... whatever it is, you could carve a Jack-O'-Lantern into it and hang it on your front door.

It reminds me of the rear flap for a logging helmet. It keeps snow and stuff from getting in your collar and going down your back.

If you haven't run the snowblower since new, then it could very likely be a shipping cover for something like the PTO shaft end.

Looking at it closely, I think that you may have it. The holes and slots at the top look a lot like the ones for the helmet head band.
