    Trail maintenance (mowing mostly). Recommendations?

And to beat a dead horse.... Received and assembled my Kunz 44" tow behind mower. 750 pounds of mower arrived on a pallet. Assembly was very straight forward. Obviously, these once-in-a-blue-moon assembly activities can always be a challenge. Even though I have only used it for about 2 to 3...

    Trail maintenance (mowing mostly). Recommendations?

Thanks for the info. Yes - have looked at that and similar machines - challenge is to avoid the used-once-in-a-blue-moon toys -

    Trail maintenance (mowing mostly). Recommendations?

Again, thanks to all for the replies... just placed an order for a Kunz tow behind brush mower - with options -- $6K -- seems to be well liked in the xc ski trail community - fyi dealing with Matt Kunz was awesome. Again - thanks for all the info.

    Trail maintenance (mowing mostly). Recommendations?

I really think I need to be cutting with a tracked vehicles. Trails are all wide enough and well designed but they are very steep in places and muddy in spots as well. Getting stuck (has happened before of course) is a major PIA and expensive / time intensive recovery matter.

    Trail maintenance (mowing mostly). Recommendations?

thanks for all the replies - I do have the option of using a 3pt rotary cutter behind either a Kubota B3200HSD (would have to buy one); currently have a Woods 72" that I use behind my M5040 but the M5040 is likely too big (cab and all) and as noted previously, concerned with the B3200 getting...

    Trail maintenance (mowing mostly). Recommendations?

Looking for what people use to brushhog (brush mowers) trails -- I have about 9 miles of trails - all accessible by atvs, tractors, etc... but a lot of them are steep; I generally only use a tracked atv, tracked Kubota RTV, or excavator... There are places where wheeled vehicles are either going...

Kubota ZD1211 zero turn - transmission fluid extraction silliness

Thank you so much for the info -- I was trying to suck out of the fill port. Use the dip stick port? keep other access points closed? For folks like you who do this all the time it becomes a "tie your shoe" type activity -- for me its a once-in-a-blue-moon (400hrs) type thing. Anycase. thanks -...

Kubota ZD1211 zero turn - transmission fluid extraction silliness

thanks - I had a major senior moment --- apparently, there are ZD1211R, ZD1211L, and ZD1211RL models - and I got these models confused with the nomenclature about the LH and RH axel stuff. Me bad. thanks.

Kubota ZD1211 zero turn - transmission fluid extraction silliness

thanks for the reply- really appreciated. Yes - I discovered this morning that sucking out the transmission fluid is not possible. My model (just the straight ZD1211, not the LH or RH) does not have axle drains (at least according to the manual). I ended up ramping up the back wheels and lifting...

Kubota ZD1211 zero turn - transmission fluid extraction silliness

Hi folks -- Kubota ZD1211 zero turn mower use UDT2 hydraulic fluid. About 3 Gallons. Drain plug is on bottom of machine of course. Can't see how to drain 3 gallons out without lifting 1,700lb machine up (and level of course) to get a 5 gallon bucket under there.... so am thinking of pumping it...

B3200HSD Loader Arm (lever) Block and curl control ball link replacement.

To beat a dead (but now fixed) horse... here is some more info on the Kubota B3200HSD Loader Lever Assembly - Other B models might be very similar. Twice now, once four years ago, and again this week, the interface between the loader lever (operator control arm) and the hydraulic valve failed...

B3200HSD Loader Arm (lever) Block and curl control ball link replacement.

B3200HSD Loader Arm (lever) Block and curl control ball link replacement. Big ask -- hoping someone can tell me how to actually replace a failed part. PIA in terms of space and acces. The ball link (part of loader arm assembly) that controls my loader curl failed. The screw that goes into the...

Big Ask -- Long Post -- looking for specs on a Kubota spacer for a driveshaft in a Kubota M2684 snowblower

just wanted to thank everyone again for their suggestions with my snowblower drama -- all parts arrived just in time for mud season; fyi - simplest substitute for this Kubota spacer is a CAT2-CAT3 lift Arm bushing (1 1/8" ID and 1 7/16" OD) -- cut down to spacer length of 1 3/16"

Big Ask -- Long Post -- looking for specs on a Kubota spacer for a driveshaft in a Kubota M2684 snowblower

thanks for the info - I've already contacted these folks - no one has the spacer but am pretty sure the 1 3/16" is the correct length..... Am probably overthinking this crap but having this implement fail is a major headache for me (but luckily not for long as mud season is almost here --...

correct - except nobody has the darn spacer. Am hoping someone with an M2684 or similar model can confirm dimensional matters.
