    4060 Roof

Anybody figure this out yet? I need to pull the roof on my L4060 to wire in my new light bars. I've got the workshop manual & the closest description in there is "7. Remove the outer roof (13) of cabin." Wondering if I need to pull the head liner & those dozen or so plastic caps or plugs...

    Tiller size for L3901?

Oh, HST makes a big difference. Trivial to keep the go pedal pushed as far as it will go without lugging the engine. Should easily compensate for a slightly to big tiller where a gear couldn't.

    Tiller size for L3901?

I have a 60 or 62" King Kutter 2 behind my L3200 HST. Works well. Its slow going, but I'm sure that's the nature of a tiller. A 72" might work, especially with the 6 extra HP. My tracks with R4s are 60", which matches most of my implements.

    Unknown Rim

Ag (r1), industrial (r4) & turf (r3) all use very different size rims. Turf are much wider & shorter, ag are tall & skinny with industrials being somewhere in the middle. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk

Looking to invest in a roto tiller need advise.

Forward rotation hops over rocks & obstructions whereas reverse rotation will dig in and jam. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk

    Quick Hitch

Its a 5 minute install & $150ish for the hitch. I have never hitched anything up without it, after watching the dealer struggle to get my rotary cutter hooked up the quick hitch was my first purchase. Except the post hole digger... They are not compatible with any quick hitches. Sent from my...

Considering upgrading from B7800HST to L3800HST

I like my L3200 & now that I loaded the rears I wish I had a 3800. Previously it was traction limited now I can stall it in low on occasion. The 3200/3800 are somewhat notorious for having a rough 3pt hitch, so keep an eye on that when you check them out. It isn't that rough empty, but gets...

    tool box

Pallet forks, then just throw everything on a pallet. More for the front than 3pt, but a caryall can pick up a pallet too. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk

    L3200

I'm really happy with my L3200 HST 4wd. I wish I got a Grand with a cab, but budget constraints... I don't think they are making any more L32/3800s. The whole Tier 4 emissions cutoff thing. 2wd L3200s were scarce anyway, might be nearly impossible to find new now. Most of the guys really...

    L3800 Fuel Efficency question ???

My L3200 (same engine, slightly less displacement or something) is in the ballpark of 1 GPH as well. I tend to moderate the RPMs on my HST unless i really need them. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk

f2260 with locked up front wheel

Diff lock only affects the rear diff, not the front. If the front left turns, power is getting to the front diff. My guess is a bearing or something else in the axle or final drive is toast. Trying to move it without resolving the issue may cause other issues. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747...

400'x400' lot with 8" snow cleared with L3800 FEL

A blade will weigh over half of your ballast, so you wouldn't loose all the weight. It will hang out back further making it a little more awkward. The extra leverage hanging further back may offset a little of the weight loss too. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk

    Kubuta Transmission style advice

A HST is just a hydraulic pump attached to a hydraulic motor. Can most manufacturers make good hydraulic gear? Probably a hair less reliability than a simple gear granny but more than something with internal clutches. I love my HST. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk

Picking up my L3800 HST in 2 hours!

I like my new l3200 (same tractor, 6 less HP). You absolutely need at least 500lbs on the back. I always keep my 550lbs box blade there. It was pretty "exciting" trying to pull fence posts with a 200lbs post hole digger on the back, but I was expecting things & went really slow so I could stop...

    3 Point Auger on a L3800

I agree on the buy vs rent math. My equation was a bit different. Help a neighbor sink 7 holes (her tractor is down) for unlimited borrowing of her augur. Better quality ones will have better gearboxes & come with lube in the gearboxes. Not sure if there is much else to em. They aren't rocket...

Newbie question regarding a land pride cutter

Same exact vintage (month and a half old now), model, tractor, cutter & problem myself. 99% sure my problem was the top link of the 3 point slowly unscrewing itself due to vibration. Dropping the 3 point for slack & tightening it back up fixed it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 4

    Box Scaper or Blade?

I got a back blade with my L3200 & have barely used it. I promptly got a box blade (was expecting that would be the case) & have been using the hell out of it digging out the buried back section of my barn (box blade works far better than the loader for that), grading the driveway and other...

    differential lock lever

I use mine a fair bit. Pop it on before I need it when going in a straight line. It should be plenty strong once engaged. I expect its just engagement abuse that kills them. For what turning brakes... use your left foot. Is a bit backward, but doable. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 4
